OKB Architecture
I am interested in being considered for the position of Intermediate
Architect as posted on Archinect. This past September, I graduated from
SCI_Arc with a Masters in Architecture. Both my undergraduate and
graduate curriculums have allowed me to design projects such as CHIP,
the SCI_Arc/CalTech entrant into the Solar Decathlon 2012, using
AutoCAD, Rhino, Maya for 3D modeling, drawings, and renderings.
Furthermore, I have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign,
Illustrator, Photoshop, which have been used for the projects’ production
and representation. Lastly, I have 8 years experience in model making
utilizing fabrication techniques of laser cutting, 3-axis milling,
vacuum forming, and 3D printing as well as experience in construction
framing, decking, and wood finishing.
Prior to my graduate studies, I gained professional office experience at
SNS Architects and Engineers. The office specialized in commercial
construction and interiors, such as Volvo US Headquarters, New York
Athletic Club renovation, and DeBeaute Spa. My responsibilities included
assisting in drawing revisions, the maintenance and circulation of
drawing sets, coordination and organization of shop drawings and
transmittals, RFP/RFQ, and compilation of promotional material. Through
all these various responsibilities, I acquired the ability to meet deadlines
and perform under a fast paced office environment.
I have a passion for well executed and highly detailed spaces through
which materiality and concept can be discerned on multiple levels. I feel
that I can offer this enthusiasm to OKB Architecture, which embodies the
importance strategic craft and quality embedded within the space. I greatly
appreciate your time and consideration, and look forward to hearing
from you.
