Georgia (  Jjia?) is the name of a popular brand of coffee-flavored beverages sold

by The Coca-Cola Company. It was launched in 1975 by Coca-Cola (Japan) Company, aJapanese subsidiary of the company. It has since expanded to markets in Singapore, South

Korea, India and Bahrain. Georgia enjoys the most success in Japan, where it is the highest-grossing coffee beverage. It is also the highest-grossing beverage by Coca-Cola (Japan)

Company. As of 2007, in Japan, Georgia's sales double the sales of Coca-Cola.[1]

Georgia is oneof many brands of Japanese Canned Coffee. Ironically, despite being produced by the Atlanta,

Georgia-based Coca-Cola company, Georgia coffee is not sold within Georgia. This is becausethere is simply no market for canned coffee in the United States.

cardamom tea and hot chocolate. The brand in India also covers another machine that dispensesIced Tea (Lemon & Peach) and Cold Coffee.

[edit ] Advertising

In PlayStation Home, the PlayStation 3's online community-based service, Coca-Cola has placeda vending machine in Home that takes users to a space called the "Georgia Break Station". The

vending machine also distributes original avatar items and presents, along with "C-pons", digitalcoupons that can be used to get real drinks from real vending machines. This is to promote Coca-

Cola's Georgia series of canned coffee. The space is a lounge for users to sit and chat with twoin-lounge avatars that talk about the Georgia coffee. It will be available from September 7, 2009

to December 15, 2009.[2]

Coca-Cola to change strategy for Georgia brand

After Georgia, the tea and coffee brand of Coca-Cola, failed to meet the sales targets, the parent company is planning

to change the strategy for marketing this brand. Sources say the company will not market Georgia as a mass brand.

Georgia Gold, the top-end coffee label, will compete against the products offered by Café Coffee Day, Costa Coffee and

Barista.

Coca-Cola will not do any additional promotion of the Georgia tea brand. The company will also not increase the

number of vending machines through which Georgia tea and coffee are offered.
