GEORGE WASHINGTON

CHILDHOOD

He grew up in colonial Virginia. . George was born

in February 22, 1732. When he was 6 his family

moved to a 260 acre farm called Ferry Farm.

His father died when he was 11. Luckily, he had an

older brother and he took care of George

ADULT HOOD

When Washington was turning into an adult he has done a lot

of things. He lead the Revolutionary War. For example George

Washington told the French people and American Indians to

leave their land. The land was named Ohio valley. He asked

them to leave and live at a different place so they can all live in

peace, but they said NO! Washington went back to his home to

build up a new army so they could get the French and

American Indians to leave. This started the war. George

Washington and his army won the war.

FUNNY THINGS

One thing that is very funny about him is that when George Washington was taking picture he would always close his mouth so his teeth wont show. Another thing that is very funny is that his hair is not really his hair. Back in those days people wore

wigs.

So he close his teeth so it wasn’t seen.

WHY IS HE VALUED IN OUR CULTURE?

He was our first president.

He helped us win the Revolutionary War
