Dr. Beth BienvenuistheDirectoroftheOfficeofAccessibilityattheNationalEndowmentfortheArts,whereshemanagestheNEA’stechnicalassistanceandadvocacyworkdevotedtomakingtheartsaccessibleforpeoplewithdisabilities,olderadults,veterans,andpeopleininstitutionalsettings.Sheprovidesguidanceandsupporttostateartsagencystaffandprofessionalsworkingthefieldsofartsaccess,creativityandaging,artsandhealth,universaldesign,andartsincorrections.Sheoverseesalong-termpartnershipwiththeFederalBureauofPrisonstofundartist-in-residenceprogramsinsixfederalprisons.
Chaplain Susan BishopreceivedherMastersofDivinityfromTheCandlerSchoolofTheology,EmoryUniversityin1975.ShegraduatedfromGeorgiaStateUniversityin1976withaMastersofMusicEducation.HerundergraduatedegreesarefromAndersonUniversityandColumbiaCollegeinSouthCarolina.ChaplainBishophasservedasaClinicalChaplainwiththeGeorgiaDepartmentofCorrectionsforover30years.Herspecialareaofexpertiseistheusemusicasatoolofrehabilitationandrestorationwithintheprisonsetting.ChaplainBishophasbeentheDirectoroftheVoicesofHopeChoirsince1992andtheyhavebeentravelingandsinginginchurchandcommunitysettingssince2004.In2009,ChaplainBishopwasselectedastheGeorgiaDepartmentofCorrectionsEmployeeoftheYear.ShewasalsotherecipientoftheEmoryUniversityUnsungHeroineAwardin2008.In2014shewasawardedtheCentennialMedalfromtheCandlerSchoolofTheology.ChaplainBishophasworkedatbothmaleandfemaleprisons.ShehasservedatfourdifferentprisonsandiscurrentlytheClinicalChaplainatLeeArrendaleStatePrisoninAlto,Georgia.

Cadeem Gibbs,currentlybasedinNewYorkCity,isthefounderofTheROUNDTABLEProject(RegainingOurUnderservedNeighborhoodDevelopments through Teaching And Building Leaders through Entrepreneurship),asocialenterprisegearedtowardssocio-economicawareness,civicengagementandentrepreneurship.Theyaimtoraisepublicconsciousness about issues impacting black communities and start businesses that serve as viable resources in those communities. He is a dedicated activist foryouth,social,racialandeconomicjusticeissues.Cadeememploysthephilosophythatthevoicesofthosemostimpactedbyanissueshouldbenotonlyincorporatedintothelegislativeandcommunityhealingandbuildingprocesses,butleadingthemovementstowardsthesechanges,astheyarethetrueexperts.Cadeemhasworkedpassionatelyinyouthandleadershipdevelopment,organizingadvocacy,facilitation,fororganizationssuchasTheChildren’sDefenseFund,TheNewYorkCityAdministrationofChildren’sServices,andTheCenterforCourtInnovation,andRaiseTheAge-NY.
Omar Howard isaprisonchaplainandfounderofFreedomisAChoice,Inc.,anonprofitwhichencouragesat-riskyouthandadultstochoosefreedomoverincarceration.Omaruseshisownstoryofincarcerationasatooltocounselandmentorat-riskyouthandtroubledadultstoavoidmakingbadchoicesthatcannegativelyimpacttherestoftheirlives.Omarserved14yearsand10monthsintheGeorgiaprisonsystemandwasreleasedonDecember10,2007.Omarencounteredmanylegalandpersonalobstaclesafterincarceration,perseveringthroughtoughtimesthatwouldcausemostindividualstogiveup.Inadditiontorunninganonprofit,OmarservesasachaplainforHeartBoundMinistriesattheAtlantaTransitionalCenter,whereheservedthefinaltwoyearsofhissentence.HeiscertifiedinAngerManagementandisatrainedfacilitatorforTheIntegrityProject.Hissuccessfultransitionfromprisontosocietyservesasaviable,positiveexampleforat-riskyouthandincarceratedpeople.In2018,OmarreceivedapardonfromtheStateofGeorgia.
