UAV LiDAR Mapping & Inspection Surveys
Geoterra is able to provide a full geospatial engineering service to consultant engineers,
contractors, the Highways Agency and County Councils, utilising high definition laser scan-
ners attached to Heavy Lift Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to achieve centimetre accurate geo-
referenced survey data captured without the need for ground control points. Geoterra is al-
ready providing services throughout the UK and has the capability to apply its unique capa-
bilities to any overseas projects.
UAV LiDAR surveys captures highly detailed and accurate data which is virtually impossible
to survey by any other method. The captured LiDAR data is geo-referenced by using the
onboard twin GPS and precise IMU systems. Assets and features can be laser scanned very
quickly and efficiently and for a fraction of the cost of using commercial helicopters. The data
can then be processed into CAD and GIS systems.
