Most shippers sell fruit from dozens of growers, making consistency impossible. In contrast, Gerawan Farming is one grower with an army of 3,000 employees. We harvest and pack by hand up to 100,000 boxes a day of premium fruit from our enormous orchards. Each piece is grown, nurtured, harvested and handled exactly the same.

This results in amazing consistency, load to load, box to box, fruit to fruit. We can give you what no other ship-per can: the variety and size you specify, shipment after shipment, all from the same grower and ranch.

Dry, mealy fruit is common with commercial packers that mix fruit from different growers. They can't avoid it since they have no control over individual growing and handling practices.

Peaches and nectarines from Gerawan Farming are always at their peak of juiciness and flavor, because every piece is grown, harvested and handled under our watchful eyes. But that's not the only reason.

Most growers strip harvest their orchards in just 2 to 3 picks, resulting in a wide range of maturity. At Gerawan Farming, by taking advantage of our economies of scale, we pick our orchards 8 to 10 times, carefully selecting only fruit at its peak maturity and flavor. This avoids the poor eating experience that you find in most shippers' boxes.

Many shippers can't harvest and pack on the same day. They precool the fruit before packing, and then warm it up again during the packing process. That's another cause of mealy peaches.

Peaches and nectarines at their proper maturity are too delicate to be harvested into 1,000-pound bulk bins where they can easily become bruised and blemished. That's why at Gerawan Farming we care-fully harvest into small, protective buckets.

Try this: Without knowing which box is which, have someone place a packed box of bin-harvested fruit

alongside a box of Prima® fruit packed from its original harvest bucket. Then, guess which box is which. The Prima® fruit is always cleaner, brighter,

Stained peaches. Discolored nectarines. Split plums. All of these are common side effects of hydrocooling, which is why we don't hydrocool at Gerawan Farming. Instead, our fruit is only forced-air cooled.

The Single-Layer Euro Displays Beautifully and Is the Best Box Because:

Our tray-packed fruit has PLU labels on more than 90% of the fruit. All labels are on top and oriented the same way. This creates a beautiful display in your stores and eliminates mis-rings.

• Tray-packed fruit is better adapted to a ripening protocol than volume-filled fruit,warming and cooling more quickly.

• Tray-packed fruit has less decay, bruising and shrinkage than volume-filled fruit.

• Consumers prefer tray-packed fruit to volume-filled fruit.

• It is 15-20 pounds net, so the single-layer euro always reaches the truck's maximumpayload, delivering more fruit per freight dollar.

• More fruit can be loaded on a truck if packed in a single-layer euro versus a two-layershoebox. Two-layer has no transportation advantages compared to a single-layer euro.

• The single-layer euro produces less packaging waste than two-layer boxes.

• The single-layer euro packaging costs less than two-layer packaging.

• The single-layer euro boxes are 47% stronger than two-layer boxes.

• Two-layer and volume-fill do not have sufficient airflow. This can cause uneven ripeningand dangerous heat buildup. Heat generated during respiration needs to escape. Singlelayer boxes don't have this problem.

• Tray pack reduces bruising, so you can carry a more mature, juicy, flavorful fruit whileminimizing shrink.

• Euro single layer is not more expensive than two-layer tray pack.
