Christian Bischler – WTS Group AG

Christian Bischler has built a strong reputation in servicing non-German investment companies in relation to the German Investment Act and the German Investment Tax Act. He headed a large number of German fund tax law reviews for foreign-based investment funds, numerous of them on-site in Ireland, Luxembourg, the UK or France. Christian is a frequent speaker at industry events and conferences. Christian started his professional career in the Banking & Capital Markets department of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2003. In April 2007, he relocated to WTS. After having completed a pro-fessional banking education at Landesbank Hessen - Thüringen (Helaba) from 1996 until 1998, Christian Bischler studied economics (focus: Banking and Finance, Taxation, Fiscal Law) at Justus-Liebig-University in Gießen (Germany) and graduated with a German Master degree in economics (Diplom-Kaufmann) in 2003.

Guido Dahm – WTS Group AG

Guido Dahm advises on tax law for the Financial Services Industry. After joining WTS in 2007, he has accumulated extensive experience in arranging European tax reporting for international investment funds from all major fund domiciles and assisting investors with a range of tax compliance and structuring solutions. Guido is an active participant in industry conferences. He started his professional career in 1998 in the corporate tax department of PwC in Frankfurt, where he advised international companies operat-ing in the German market on all aspects of corporate taxation, transfer pricing, tax audits and valuations. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Germany (Wirtschaftspruefer) and in the U.S. (CPA), a Certified Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) and holds an MBA degree from the University of Muenster.

Steffen Gnutzmann – WTS Group AG

Steffen Gnutzmann advises on tax law and regulatory law for the Financial Services industry. He focuses on servicing international mutual funds, hedge funds and their administrators, covering the complete range of services from German market entry advice to the annual German tax compliance and exit strategies. In 1999, Steffen started his professional career in the Financial Services Investment Management / Capital Markets department of Pricewaterhouse Coopers Germany in Frankfurt/M. In 2007, he relocated from to WTS as a member of a team of 7 advisors. Steffen graduated in Law from the University of Berlin, is a German attorney-at-law and completed a degree in taxation from a German government university. Steffen has pub-lished widely on German tax law and the Financial Services industry. He is the co-author of one of the two leading commentaries on German fund tax law.

Christoph Rapp – Taxsource

Christoph Rapp is managing partner of the tax service company Taxsource. Prior to the foundation of Taxsource, he worked in the Corporate Banking of a Swiss-based bank and then joined international business consultancies for the development of Value Based Management and Tax Reporting services. Christoph Rapp studied economics at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and graduated (lic. oec. HSG) in 1995.

Olof von Sponeck – International Sales, WM Datenservice Frankfurt

Olof von Sponeck has been responsible for foreign distribution at WM Datenservice since 2010, prior to which he worked for various financial infor-mation service providers, including several years as Account Manager for Austria and Eastern Europe at Thomson Financial (now Thomson Reuters).

Dr. Markus Thomas – Head of Sales Investment Managers, WM Datenservice, Frankfurt

Dr. Markus Thomas is Sales Director for WM Datenservice (Frankfurt/Germany). He is in charge of sales for WM Datenservice to Asset Managers in Europe. Before joining WM Datenservice in 2012, Dr. Thomas gained wide experience through his work for German asset and pension fund managers (Activest, Siemens) and as investment consultant.

Robert Welzel – WTS Group AG

Robert Welzel is a partner and heads the Frankfurt branch of WTS Germany. Robert advises clients, such as mutual and hedge funds, invest-ment banks, insurers, corporates, and HNWI/family offices in connection with asset management topics, capital market products, structured finance and other tax, regulatory or balance-sheet induced transactions. He advis-es on inbound and exit tax and regulatory structuring for foreign funds acquiring a broad range of different asset classes. He represents private and institutional clients on the German tax aspects of corporate acquisi-tions and restructurings, including German and international mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, liquidations, and stock and other asset sales and distributions. Robert is a German qualified attorney-at-law and tax advisor. Following his law studies at the University of Munich, Robert was a judge in a civil law court for 2,5 years and worked for Big4 firms before switching to WTS in 2007.

Robin Zueger – Taxsource

Robin Zueger has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Taxsource in 2012 he has worked in a variety of client facing positions in the wealth management and corporate banking divisions of two large Swiss-based banks in Switzerland, South Africa and Canada. Robin has earned a Master of Business Administration in Business Law from Kalaidos UAS in Zurich (Switzerland). He is also a graduate of the federally approved Swiss Banking Specialist program, and has his designa-tion as a Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) from the Canadian Securities Institute.

Gregor Zorman LL.M. – LeitnerLeitner

Gregor Zorman is an Austrian certified tax advisor. He focuses on taxation and structuring of financial products, in particular on tax advise servicing international investment funds, real estate funds, and private equity funds and their investors on all aspects of Austrian and international tax matters. After his graduation in Law at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), he worked as a tax consultant with one of the Big Four in Slovenia for three years. In 2004, however, he relocated to Austria where he joined the Banking & Finance Group of LeitnerLeitner. He holds a “Master of Law” in International Tax Law of the University of Economy Vienna. He is lecturer of international tax law at the Chamber of Accountants in Slovenia.
