INVITED PUBLICATIONSAltmiller, G. (April 2011). Communication and Teamwork. National Council of State
Boards of Nursing: Transition to Practice Program learning module. This learning module was developed for implementation as a national program for new- to-practice nurses. It was commissioned by the National Council that oversees licensing for all nurses in the United States. This initiative is a national education program to be mandated for nursing licensure renewal. The program consists of seven modules authored by experts in their field. I was recruited as an expert in teamwork and communication. This project entailed creating educational content that includes interactive exercises and a web-based examination for participants.
