View the Aquarius New Moon – Supermoon by Celestial

This is the first of two Aquarius New Moons. Next month we have another one that will usher in the Chinese New Year of the Green (Wood) Sheep.

This Aquarius New Moon is an invisible Supermoon, as the Moon is close to perigee now.

Neptune and Mars are swimming together in Pisces fuelling our desires and dreams and encouraging us to act on them, but this aspect could also be clouding some issues.

Mars is at perihelion, moving quickly, urging us to get going with our plans, but Mercury stations retrograde on Jan 22 for the first time this year, so we may be jumping the gun.

False starts are possible. Impatience and frustration could be adding to the tension, so don’t panic!

When the trickster planet is retrograde, it’s a good time to focus and concentrate, and sometimes we need to change our perspective.

Sometimes the hassles we have come to associate with Mercury retrograde, such as travel hiccups, computer glitches and misunderstandings can be blessings in disguise.

Sometimes a crucial piece of the puzzle has been overlooked or put to one side and we have forgotten about it.

It’s only when we see the picture up close and in its entirety that we realize what has occurred. All planets are close to the Earth when retrograde, and this means that they are accessible.

Time and space may seem a bit warped, but seeing things from a new angle, and slowing down allows us to find a solution, so take your time, look at the details, and don’t rush.

Aquarius is the sign most associated with the future. Uranus, its planet, is linked to the god Prometheus, which means forethought.

Science and technology, inventiveness and the rights of the individual are paramount values for Aquarius.  With Uranus aligned with the South Node, we can tap into a storehouse of creative ideas.

Mercury’s station will help this process, so flashes of insight and inspiration will fuel new inventions and discoveries.

ideas and creative visions can materialise.
