The Armenia EarthquakeA terremoto, or earthquake strikes. It was registered as a 6.4 on the richter scale. In Armenia, Colombia, several partsof the city, including key infrastructure along with several residential neighborhoods, fell down. There is widespreadpanic. And, later the death count begins to soar. 2,000 people lost their lives in the aftermath of this quake. Thismotivated the Colombian government to replace neighborhoods with a stronger earthquake-resistent, alternative:Guadua Bamboo.
