ABOUT THE RDSP

Access RDSP is a provincial program operated through a partnership between BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS), Disability Alliance BC (DABC), and Plan Institute. It is made possible through the support of the Vancouver Foundation.

It is estimated that only about 37% of British Columbians who are eligible for an RDSP have opened one. In response, Access RDSP provides a “one-stop-shop” for all things RDSP. Our three organizations are working together to provide free direct assistance with opening RDSPs and travel across BC giving workshops and presentations to help ensure that more eligible British Columbians open an RDSP.

ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP“The advisor helped me understand the applica-tion. She went through the process step by step patiently and made me feel that I am not alone. She also explained how opening up the RDSP will also help me plan my future better. Now I feel moreateasefinancially.”-Andrea, Vancouver

Our goal is to see the RDSP in the hands of every eligible Canadian.
