Greetings all! Springtime is finally here (I think!) so here we are today

bringing you our 3rd issue of Let’s Get Sketchy’ s Inspired Magazine.

It has been a long, COLD winter here in Tennessee and it is my sincere

hope that you will find something in these pages to help inspire you

and perhaps even get you past any creative block you may have had.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU! We

have had such a wonderful response to our magazine and I pray that it

just keeps getting better. It is because of readers like each of you that

makes all the work that goes into this magazine worthwhile. Please

It is my pleasure to help bring Issue 3 to you. This issue focuses on Spring,

Summer and Travel; as well as a featured manufacturer. We are delighted to

have received submissions from many new names and are happy to share

many of them with you. We hope you continue to submit your creations to

our magazine.

I would like to take this opportunity to note that the photography of a pro-

ject can make or break an E-zine submission. Unlike paper magazines, that

retake photos of your creations themselves, we rely on your photography

skills. Therefore it is so very important to take the time to take an excellent

photo. Wait for great natural light, make sure you edit your photo so that it

sits straight and is truly square. This will definitely catch our eye and im-

prove your chances of being picked up for future issues. Best of luck in

children. I started scrapbooking to make a baby book for my son and I haven't

Hello! My name is Lisa, my husband Greg and I live in central Wisconsin with our

2 children, Sierra and Austin. We also have a 7 year old very rambunctious yellow

lab, Bender, who still thinks he's a puppy. These 4 are the subjects of most of my

layouts. I have been scrapping since I was pregnant with Sierra, so almost 17 years.

In the last 3 or 4 years, I discovered card making and haven't bought a card since. I

even make all my Christmas cards (about 45). I recently went back to work and

really miss all that extra scrapping time I used to have! Besides playing with paper,

I enjoy watching my kids in sports, gardening, camping and 4 wheeling.

I started scrapbooking in 1996.

My scrap item(s) must have are/is…my sewing machine and mist/paint.

What I love most about this hobby…the people, they are fabulous!

How did you get on your first design team: An online scrappy friend started

her own message board and had a DT call and I applied.

My name is Melinda Garner. I am a recent transplant from Oklahoma to the beau-

tiful Emerald Coast, in Florida. I have been married to my best friend, and very

scrappy supportive husband, for 19 years. We have two children., our daughter is

15, and our son is 12. They are my inspiration and the main subjects of my lay-

outs. I don't think that I have a particular style - it just depends on the papers and

embellies I am working with. I go between clean and simple to shabby chic, and

everywhere in between.

I started scrapbooking in....2003

My scrap item(s) must have are/is...Scotch ATG adhesive runner & pop dots.

What I love most about this hobby…Preserving our everyday life for my fam-

ily and the wonderful friends I have made.

Favorite source of inspiration is...Scrapbooking blogs and online scrapbook

How did you get on your first design team...I responded to a call at my LSS

and was asked to join the team.

Any advice for those wanting to design on a team...You won't ever make

it if you don't try! Keep at it!!

I am from Mobile, AL where I stay at home with my 2 beautiful girls. I also have 3

stepchildren and a step granddaughter, whom I love very much. My fiancé works out

of town for most of the year. While he is gone I find ways to keep myself busy. I love

to scrapbook and have even taught all of my daughters to enjoy my passion. I am also

very involved in my girl's school and I have had a passion for bowling. I bowl on sev-

eral adult leagues I am also in charge of and coach our local Youth Bowling League. I

love being able to help others with everything that I do.

I started scrapbooking in 2009

My scrap items must haves are Tim Holtz scissors, Trendy Twine, punches and of

course Thickers.

What I love most about this hobby, is giving my girls the memories and stories

of our lives after I am gone.

My favorite source for inspiration is sketches. I find them everywhere online

when I need to get my mojo going.

My advice to those looking to get on design teams: would be don't get dis-

couraged! Scrapbooking is about remembering stories and moments in your family's

life that will be past on after you are gone.

I am YuNing Huang, AKA Valerie. I am from

Taiwan and now live in the beautiful and

sunny Northern California with my dear

husband and a dog name Shiao Mei Tan (Little

Charcoal) We don’t have any children yet, so

you will see our dog as my main element in a

lot of my projects. I started to play with

papers, glue and scissors in 2005. I was

looking for way to document my life here in

the US and share with my family and friends.

I got hooked very quickly after my very first

time trying scrapbooking and very soon it

became an obsession. Now I am blessed to

be able continue to share my passion though

I started scrapbooking in: I moved to the US in 2003 after our wedding. I got a point and

shoot camera from my husband as a wedding gift, then I started to document my life to share

on my blog as a way to express myself. I was introduced to scrapbooking in 2005 and was

quickly hooked. I scrapped on and off for a couple of years and then got serious again in 2011.

I consider myself very blessed to have such a great hobby that allows me to meet all kinds of
