Make a backup copy.Delete all unnecessary words.Simplify or delete words any of your readers might not understand. Replace fuzzies with precise terms. Cut modifiers that aren’t vital. Delete or move words and ideas that have ended up in the wrong place.Organize your content under subheads. Chop what doesn’t fit neatly. Add a temporary word parking lot, just in case.
