Three New Astrological Cycles in 2020

1. Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn in 2020

Exact on January 12, 2020 at 22°47’ Capricorn -In effect: January 2018 to December 2021

Structures and support systems are tested. Major geo-political power struggles occur to gain control, influence

and resources. Things started now can have unforeseen major consequences. A time when karmic consequences are

met and karmic choices are made. There is a deep level of secrecy, intensity, intrigue and mystery. Something is hidden.

Possible criminal or underhanded conduct. There can be much below the surface that is not seen by the public. This

conjunction begins a new cycle every 33-38 years.

History –the last two cycles of Saturn conjunct Pluto:

AUGUST 11, 1947—Saturn conjunct Pluto in Leo—In effect: June 1946—September 1948.

• The Cold War and the nuclear arms race.

• Crash at Roswell, New Mexico on July 2, 1947. Kenneth Arnold (from Boise) sees UFO’s while flying his plane on

June 24, 1947. He describes them as saucers, resulting in the term “flying saucers”.

• The CIA is authorized by the National Security Act on July 26, 1947– the beginning of a power conflict between the

FBI and the CIA. The Hollywood blacklist of those with suspected ties to communism is started.

• Present day India and Pakistan are established on August 15, 1947. India gains independence from Great Britain

and Pakistan is established as a separate country.

• Present day Israel is established on August 31, 1947. The United Nations recommends that Great Britain grant

Palestine independence and that Palestine be partitioned into Jewish and Arab states. Israel is proclaimed a Jewish

state. It’s birthdate is May 15, 1948. The first Israeli-Arab war begins within 24 hours.

• The House Committee on Un-American Activities begins hearings to ferret out communists in the movie industry

on October 20, 1947.

• North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is ratified and signed on August 24, 1949. The ideas behind this

alliance started in March 1947 when France and the United Kingdom signed the Treaty of Dunkirk.

NOVEMBER 8, 1982—Saturn conjunct Pluto in Libra—in effect: December 1980 –October 1984.

• Savings and Loan Crisis started Mar 31, 1981 and ultimately cost American taxpayers $132 Billion.

• Iran-Iraq War begins on September 19, 1980. It will last for 8 years.

• Assassinations: Anwar Sadat, October 6, 1981, Egypt/ Benigno Aquino, Aug 21, 1983, Philippines (political rival of

Marcos)/ Indira Gandhi, India, Oct 31, 1984. Attempted assassinations: President Ronald Reagan, March 30, 1981/

Pope John Paul II, May 14, 1981

• Israel invades Lebanon on June 4, 1982. This is when Osama bin Laden claimed he got the original idea to bomb

the World Trade Center. At this time he begins to help the mujahedeen in Afghanistan.

• Congress bars the Reagan administration from aiding the Contras in Nicaragua in 1982– 1984- This was the law

that was circumnavigated in 1985 and led to the Iran-Contra Affair.

• South Korean airliner is shot down by Soviets on August 30, 1983. All 269 aboard were killed.

• Terrorist explosion in Beirut on Oct 25, 1983 kills 237 US Marines.

Pluto takes about 248 years to go through all the signs of the zodiac

History –Pluto in Capricorn—the last two times

Pluto in Capricorn 1516—1532

• Martin Luther begins the Reformation in 1517. Christianity will be transformed.

• Magellan is the first to circumnavigate the earth in 1519-1522.

• Cortez goes to Mexico which leads to the downfall of the Aztecs in 1519.

• Pizarro goes to Peru and brings a similar fate to the Inca’s in 1524.

• Nostradamus studies medicine and the mystical arts in 1520-32.

• Copernicus postulates the earth and the planets orbit the sun and that the Earth is not the center of the

universe in 1512 –1543. Fearing retribution from the church, he did not allow his theory to be published until the

end of his life. His concept marks the beginning of a scientific revolution.

January 13, 1518—Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn— In effect: January 1517—December 1519

This was the last time Saturn and Pluto were conjunct in Capricorn. 502 years ago!

Pluto in Capricorn 1762—1778

• End of French and Indian War in 1763. Britain, France and Spain divide power and land among themselves.

• Rebellion in the British Colonies in America in 1763-75 heats up due to heavy handedness of the British Crown.

The Boston Tea Party occurs in 1773, the First Continental Congress in 1774.

• American Revolutionary War in 1775-1783: : The United States is born on July 4, 1776 with the Declaration of

Independence. A new order and a new nation will rise to ascendancy in the 20th century, but at the time, that is

far from obvious. The outcome was unknown. It was the Plutonian energy of “going for it” - no matter what– that

enabled a new country based on freedom, equality and democracy to be victorious.

• Captain James Cook explores and maps the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Antarctic, and Hawaii in 1768-

1779. He also mapped the west coast of North America from California all the way to the Bering Strait.

• Famous Capricorns during the revolutionary war era: Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, Betsy Ross, John

Hancock, Alexander Hamilton, Benedict Arnold, General Cornwallis.

Repeated themes of Pluto transits in Capricorn:

Expansion of our concept of reality and the world around us through explorations and discoveries about the

physical world and how it is put together.

Rapid expansion of power and transformation. Actions may go overboard or be overwhelming. Can have a “go for

it” quality and bring a breakthrough and start a new power structure. To be used at its highest and best, actions and

intentions must be for the betterment of all, not for the aggrandizement self. This conjunction begins a new cycle

every 12-14 years.

3. Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Aquarius in 2020

Exact on December 21, 2020 at 00°29’ Aquarius -In effect February 2020 to March 2021

This conjunction has always been considered of great significance from the time man first looked at the night sky. It

happens when the largest planets, Jupiter and Saturn, meet in the heavens. As they move together, the two planets are

very bright and easily seen. It represents a time of great impact on social structures, systems, future developments

and what we consider important in society. This conjunction begins a new cycle every 20 years.

However, the upcoming 2020 Jupiter-Saturn conjunction has a much greater significance than usual.

The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction occurs in the same element (Fire, Earth, Air or Water) for about 200 years at a time. The

2020 conjunction marks the point when the element will change from Earth to Air.

Our orientation has been to the Earth element since 1842. The Earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. The Earth

element is focused on the physical world and is concerned with wealth creation, land settlement, physical and material

comforts and security. During this time we have become an industrialized society with much more material wealth for

large groups of people than ever before. We have built cities, towns and roads, expanded farming methods and

increased trade and commerce around the world. We have used coal, oil, mining, fertilizers and pesticides to make this

possible. Instead of being good stewards of our resources, we have plundered the earth for material gain. This era is

ending, but it won’t go out without a fight.

In 2020, we are shifting into the Air element, where we will stay until 2219. The air signs are Gemini, Libra and

Aquarius. Our orientation and what we consider to be a priority is going to change and develop over the next 200

years. The Air element era is associated with rapid social progress, intellectual development, communications and new

concepts in human consciousness. The focus is on expanding our knowledge about our place in the universe. The down

There is no need to chastise yourself if you are not happy with the current state of affairs in your life. Everything you have experienced and learned in life thus far was for a reason and has led you to where you are on your life path at this very moment. You needed to have the experience and wisdom you have gained in order to be ready for this phase of your life. You can now take responsibility and ownership of your power.

HOW:

By releasing that which has outlived its usefulness in your life and accepting your own power and capabilities. This will require digging deep, uprooting and facing your fears. Some things may need to be eliminated in your life. You could experience extremes of feeling, power surges, releasing, cleansing, healing and a rebirth.

By being patient, disciplined, responsible, mature, realistic and purposeful. You may feel more serious and focused on your work and duties, either by choice or necessity. Things could seem to move slowly and take extra effort. Persevere and be patient. Accept whatever new responsibilities life brings you. The tests you have now will help you gain depth, character, wisdom and mastery.

By having faith and a positive outlook. Seek to improve your life by believing in yourself and expanding your possibilities.
