COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE CAMERA IN ITS FINAL LOCATION!

Working Doorbell CheckFirst check that the existing wired doorbell is working. There is a power issue if the existing doorbell does not ring the indoor chime when the button is pressed. This issue must be addressed before installing the Doorbell Camera.

Wired Doorbell CheckCheck that the existing doorbell is wired by visually inspecting the doorbell button for wires. If necessary, the doorbell can be removed from the wall to check for wiring. You can also inspect the chime inside the home—a chime plugged into a power outlet might indicate an incompatible wireless doorbell system is in place. See page 6 for more information on the chime type.

WiFi and WiFi PasswordIn order to complete installation, you must have WiFi with upload speeds of 5 Mbps and the password for the WiFi network. The WiFi signal must reach where the Doorbell Camera will be placed.

MountingThe mounting plate affixes to a flat surface and uses the existing doorbell wiring. A power drill may be required depending on how your current doorbell is set up.

Mobile AppYou must have the Frontpoint app in order to complete installation.

Prior to installation, confirm your existing doorbell is compatible with the Frontpoint Doorbell Camera.

Mechanical ChimeIf the chime has metal bars and a striker pin, it is mechanical and will work without additional hardware.

Digital ChimeIf the chime has a speaker that plays a tone when pressed, it is digital and will require the installation of the Digital Doorbell Adapter and the enabling of the digital doorbell setting in the app to function properly.

Please contact Customer Care to order a Digital Doorbell Adapter.

Tube Chime If the chime has a series of tubular bells,it is a tube chime and is incompatible with the Doorbell Camera.

Intercom SystemIf the doorbell button fixture includes a speaker, it is an intercom system and is incompatible with the Doorbell Camera.

No ChimeIf there is no chime in the system, you will only receive alerts on your phone and a resistor (10 Ohm 10 Watt) must be used in-line with the Doorbell Camera.

The Doorbell Camera will flash blue when charging. Once the camera is fully charged, it will alternate between red and green. The camera is now ready to sync to your Frontpoint account!

To sync the Doorbell Camera to your account:

1 Open the Frontpoint app and log into your account

2 Go to the “Doorbell Camera” tab

3 Select “Add a Doorbell Camera”

4 Follow the on-screen instructions

Prior to installation, turn the circuit breaker off.

1 Carefully remove the existing doorbell button. Make sure none of the wires from your existing doorbell slip into the wall.

2 Attach the doorbell mounting bracket to the wall. Feed the existing doorbell wires through the hole in the center of the bracket. Affix the bracket firmly to the wall by driving the provided wall screws through the top and bottom holes in the bracket.

Failure to make the bracket flush on the wall could cause a poor power connection between the bracket and the doorbell camera.

3 Connect power wires to the mounting bracket. Loosen the terminal screws and insert the wires beneath the screws. Do not short (touch together) the wires during this process. Tighten the screws.

4 Attach the Doorbell Camera to the mounting bracket. Slide the top of the Doorbell Camera down onto the mounting bracket and push the front of the Doorbell Camera toward the wall. Tighten the set screw located on the bottom of the camera, being careful not to damage it (power tools should not be used with the set screw).

5 Turn the circuit breaker back on and return to the Doorbell Camera. The camera’s LED should begin to illuminate.

The Doorbell Camera is now ready to sync to your Frontpoint account.
