    1. 28% of children did not tell anyone about the abuse. My research suggests that in later life, people become more open and less worried about wether or not they had been bullied. Theconfinements of School are a sure way to make someone feel like there's no way out.

    2. 38% of young people have been affected by cyber-bullying, with abusive emails (26%) and textmessages (24%) being the most common methods. Although by my study, it shows that Cyber

bullying goes under the radar, I really think its a growing epidemic, although I do think its one thatgirls and boys 'though girls are more likely to receive sustained Cyber Abuse' pander too. I thinkthe percentages of studies and research can vary wildly as the internet is very confidential, andmost girls don't like admitting to Cyber Bullying. I really think with more information and advicefrom further informed parents, Cyber bullying can be dealt with to a further extent.

    3. 30,439 children called ChildLine in 2010/11 about bullying.

    4. Almost half (46%) of children and young people say they have been bullied at school at somepoint in their lives. By looking at the tally of my Bully Survey, the statistics come out to suggestthat this statement is most likely true, and it should be looked at more. It's a well known fact that alarge percentage of people will lie out of embarrassment or shame that they've been bullied in thepast, and by my survey, from the students of E block whom have left the national schoolcurriculum, I think they feel less judged to give their true response as opposed to when they were inschool, as the peer pressure is dissolved due to the diversity and large scale of the college, and itsstandards/principles.

Valentina Kulagina, a Russian graphic designer, born and active in Moscow.

I chose to look at Valentina and her contribution to the booming rise of the Propaganda era. Herwork is extremely bold, almost geometrical, and most of all, powerful. A lot of the silhouettes andCharacters portrayed are tall and looming. And not because theyre scary or the enemy. Theyreshowing soldiers in their prime, and how big of a role they played. These posters had to show the

people, and even the army that they were bigger and better than the rest, and they were fighting. Ilove this style, and although I find it slightly over-powering for this day and age, and seeing as Imnot promoting anyone in particular this Large scale can still be used effectively in conveying aBully, how daunting they seem. Theres not much known about Valentina, what we do know is thatshe was married to Gustav Klutsis, very similar in his Art work that was also heavily to do withPropaganda, she went under the radar as far as recognition, heavily over-shadowed by herHusbands name. Its believed that she made many contributions to his work without noted credit, and its safe to assume that she played a key part in defining Propaganda, at least in Russia, at thetime.

I have to include Shepard Fairey in this next bio. As I cant not take inspiration from his work.Simply because the use of bold, vibrant colours clashing to create shadow and effects is tooappealing, and would work perfectly in my work, characterizing bullies as these strong deepcoloured characters, and generally, I want to keep the characters in my piece un-recognisable, as tonegate any issues. I dont want people to assume my piece is biased based on the sides of ethnicity

or looks. I just want a clean depiction of whats happening in the world. And strong support for thevictims of abuse.

Fairey is a graphic designer from the USA, and only recently has he started to break through intopolitical propaganda. Shepard has found massive success in his pieces such as his stylised, heavilydistinguishable Hope Propaganda work from 2008. Its hard not to note him in any of todays workas although I think the work hes done has of course been around for the longest time, hes

definitely made a huge dent into this type of work, and Id say that a large portion of Artists tocome will have words for him. His work for me is simple and very effective, relying on colours toget his point across, wether it be subtle or bold, he has the choice with his pallet. Shepard uses hisformal elements to the core, and you cant miss it.

I used 30 minutes to conduct a fast, shortsurvey and went out and go some quick resultsto get a general idea to compare to the statisticsIve found via secondary research from theinternet. I wanted to see if there was a contrastbetween how people felt when they couldanswer anonymously as apposed to other

    methods of inquiry.

To make this research faster, I only questioned9 people to gather some opinions and see whatimmediately came out. This of course wouldnot be enough information to prove something, but seeing as I was simply trying to back up myinternet research, I was happy with this

    number.

In conclusion, I have gathered and can present the following information.

. 8 out of 9 people (88%) that I questioned were bullied and affected by others in various ways.

. Almost half (46%) of children and young people say they have been bullied at school at some point intheir lives. This is a high percentage, and looking at my research, I think its even higher. So many people

keep these things to themselves, and seeing as this statistic asked children in addition to calculate it, theres aheavy possibility of withheld truth as children find it very hard to admit to these things. And from personalaccount, I can understand why. Bullyings everywhere and children need help.

. People seemed to hold strong opinions when I spoke to them, although I cant really account for this as mysurveys responses were locked. Although they werent biased, Id like to conduct more research as to howpeople react when presented with a question and a completely unique choice to make for themselves.

. I think my questions were varied and diverse enough to get a good understanding of this epidemic that goes

on every single day. They all correlated back to my research and theyve concluded for me that theres aproblem.

. I think the people that I asked were truthful with their answers, which reinforces my theory that oncechildren turned teens have left school, that they feel less constricted and more at ease to answer withoutprejudice, although once again as weve seen and as other studies show, bullying can leave long termconfidence issues, and percentages will always vary from study to study. I think I got a good group ofparticipants and Ive gathered a good conclusion on the subject.

. Ive realised that this is bigger than I previously thought, and that my poster needs to be bold and to thepoint to change things. Shepards style will be extremely useful in conjunction with Valentines ability toconvey power and force as well as hope and courage.
