I had a great time watching The Dark Knight Rises. I watched the midnight premiere in Norfolk at King’s in August and was in a state of awe the rest of the night! Christopher Nolan's third and final film in his Batman trilogy is in no way a bust. The movie is incredibly well made, its huge production is absolutely stunning to view. The view of Gotham makes you feel like you’re actually in a plane high above viewing the city. The movie exceeded my expecta- tions in terms of action and en- tertainment. The movie makes you leave the theatre thinking over and over about the incred- ible scenes. The film featured excellent performances by the whole cast. Christian Bale, as always, plays an amazing Batman. Anne Hathaway looks incred- ible when you see her character transform into "Catwoman." Tom Hardy is cast as the main villain, Bane. His role completely shattered my expectations by playing an intimidatingly big, but also smart, villain. The Dark Knight Rises is one of the best superhero mov- ie villains I have ever seen. The terror Bain causes is completely believable and quite terrify- ing. Now, I know most will miss Heath Ledger as the Joker. I hope people don't compare Tom Hardy's performance to Heath Ledger. It would be completely unfair because the two charac- ters are very different. The colossal size of the film is a spectacle to behold. Viewers will find they won't get lost in all the explo- sions and extravagant action scenes, like can be seen in Transformers. If one were to re- ally search for something wrong with this film, it does have a painfully long running time. Viewers will want to be sure to not buy the super- sized Coca- Cola and hit the restrooms be- fore they take their seats! You won't want to miss the ending. It is emotional and brings the trilogy to a satisfying end. Sorry if I'm being overly fanatic, but I admire this film. I'm add- ing it to my top five movies of all time, and the film seems to be the movie event of the year. As a film though, this is amazing. A true, classic, superhero story- telling and summer blockbuster.

Batman returns from "The Pit" to save Gotham but is put through a gauntlet of tests by villain Ban.

The movie exceeded my expecta-tions in terms of action and en-tertainment. The movie makes you leave the theatre thinking over and over about the incred-ible scenes.

The film featured excellent performances by the whole cast. Christian Bale, as always, plays an amazing Batman. Anne Hathaway looks incred-ible when you see her character transform into "Catwoman." Tom Hardy is cast as the main villain, Bane. His role completely shattered my expectations by playing an intimidatingly big, but also smart, villain.

The Dark Knight Rises is one of the best superhero mov-ie villains I have ever seen. The terror Bain causes is completely believable and quite terrify-ing. Now, I know most will miss Heath Ledger as the Joker. I hope people don't compare Tom

Hardy's performance to Heath Ledger. It would be completely unfair because the two charac-ters are very different.

The colossal size of the film is a spectacle to behold. Viewers will find they won't get lost in all the explo-

sions and extravagant action scenes, like can be seen in Transformers. If one were to re-ally search for something wrong with this film, it does have a painfully long running time. Viewers will want to be sure to not buy the super- sized Coca-Cola and hit the restrooms be-fore they take their seats! You

won't want to miss the ending. It is emotional and brings the trilogy to a satisfying end.

Sorry if I'm being overly fanatic, but I admire this film. I'm add-ing it to my top five movies of all time, and the film seems to be the movie event of the year. As a film though, this is amazing. A true, classic, superhero story-telling and summer blockbuster.
