• Ghana are on the west side of Africa next to Togo and Ivory Coast.

• The capital of Ghana is Accra.

• The population of Ghana is approximately 23,870,000 people and the national language of Ghana is English.

• The total land mass is 238,535 kilometres.

The Ghanaian Presidential Palace

The Ghana national President is called John Atta Mills.

They got independence from the United Kingdom ion the 6th of March 1957.

There parliament is a Democratic constituency.

GHANA IS A HAPPY PLACE BECAUSE IT HAS MANY PEOPLE TO LOOK UP TOO AND EVEN THOUGH, THEY DON’T HAVE THE BEST FACILITIES BUT THEY STILL ENJOY THEIR LIVES!

Ghana‘s Football team• Ghana have only ever qualified for the world

cup once before getting to the last 16 losing 3-0 to Brazil.

• Ghana’s biggest win is a 13-0 against Kenya.

• There biggest defeat was a 10-0 defeat to Bulgaria.

• Ghana have won the African cup of nations on 4 occasions in 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982.

• Ghana’s FIFA world ranking is 31 but did once reach 14, their nicknames are the Black Stars.

Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Kevin Prince – Boateng, Junior Agogo and Laryea Kingston.

• Ghana have one of the best squads in Africa and have done well in the last three African cup of nations.

• Their U20’s won the 2009 U20’s world cup beating Brazil 4-3 on penalties.
