Batch Transactions
Interest on Investments
The Batch Trust Investment posting ‘Client Interest on Investment’ has been renamed to
“Interest on Investment” [GP-123878].
Print Audit Report
The option for whether or not to print the batch audit report has been removed from the
Batch module and can now be found under the “User Preferences”/ “Printing”.

Business Creditors
Business Creditor Invoices: Balances
The Business Creditor name and account balance now reflects when the Business Creditor is
selected [GP-123500].
Business Creditor Invoices: Documents
When capturing a BCR invoice or credit note, a document can now be attached as well
[GP-123610].
Disbursements
The “Disbursements” module that used to display under the Bookkeeper modules, has now
been replaced with the “Business Creditor Invoices” module.
Under the Fee Earner module, the “Disbursements” module is still called
“Disbursements” but the interface has been replaced with the same capture
screen as the “Business Creditor Invoices” module.
Document Management
Business Creditors & General Ledger Accounts
The system now allows users to attach documents to Business Creditors and General Ledger
accounts [GP-17784}.
The “Document Management” module is now available under the “Bookkeeper” role and
module navigation.

In order to access this module you will need to allocate the “Document
Management” module permission to a role on your user profile.
Office Integration for BCR and GEN Accounts
NOTE: Outlook integration (Outlook Add-Ins) do not support business creditor and general
ledger accounts.
Word and Excel add-ins do support business creditor and general ledger accounts.
Word automation (i.e. editing & saving of Word documents from within Document
Management module) is not supported for business creditor and general ledger accounts.
Word documents for business creditor and general ledger accounts that are
opened from the document management module will open in read-only mode.
Document folders for BCR and GEN Accounts
The firm can configure which document folders should be available for business creditor and
general ledger accounts.
This is configured in the “Practice Setup” module under the “Documents” tab.
Please refer to the System Administrator section for more detail on how to configure
this for the practice.
Attaching Files
In the Document Management module, input the account and validate.
Users that have view permissions to the business creditor or general ledger account
will be able to attach documents to the file
Press the “Attach” button on the toolbar to add documents to the validated account.
The “Save to GhostPractice” dialog opens.

Select whether the file should be saved under a particular document folder.
Click on the “Add” button to browse and add the file.
Select the “Post Note” option if you want to record a note on the file.
Press the “Attach Files” button to apply your changes.
Once the attachment is saved to GhostPractice, it will be visible in the Document
Management module.
If you selected to post a note, then the note will display in the Transaction History module
for the file. The attached document is then linked to the note transaction.
Folder Navigation Panel
The folder navigation panel will display the default folders configured for the Practice.
The “Client facing” folder does not apply to business creditor and general ledger accounts.
Rename / Delete / Move to another Folder
The user that attached the original file will be allowed to “rename”, “delete” or “move the
file to another folder”.

Payment Requisitions
Attachments
When attaching a file to the payment requisition for a business creditor or general ledger
account, the attachment is now visible in the document management module as well as in
the transaction history for the Business Creditor or General Ledger account [GP-123606].
Receipts (Online)
The Bank reconciliation will now display the contra Matter details for receipts generated via
the receipting module. [GP-121408].
System Administrator

Amendments to role permissions and/or report access is now recorded and viewable on the
Change Log report [GP-71134].

A print option has been added for the batch audit report [GP-123565].
Practice Setup
Documents – Attachment size
The firm is now able to set the following limits on attachments: [GP-120568]

When attaching files, the system will check the above two settings and warn the user if either
of the limits applies to their attachment.
To set the above, go to “Practice Setup” module and select the “Documents” tab.

NOTE: if either limit is set to 0, then it means that the size restriction does not apply for that
type.
Documents – Document Folder Setup
The document folder setup in the Practice Setup has changed. Document folders are no
longer set in the “Departments” dialog, but now under the “Documents” tab in Practice
Setup.
A new section has been added “Account Document Folders”.
On the left hand side is a list of all matter departments as well as an entry for “*Practice
Default”.
The “*Practice Default” option is used to configure the folder setup for accounts that are
not linked to a department. I.e. “Client”, “Business Creditor” and “General ledger”
accounts.
Select an entry on the left to view the folder setup for that department/practice

Invoices – Address Space
On the invoice template, an additional option has been added to suppress the reserved
address space [GP-123366].
NOTE: This setting will ONLY work for firms that have opted to NOT show the banking details at
the top of the invoice (opposite the address details).
The option to show banking details or not is a firm preference on the “Branch
Details” dialog under “Print Formats”/ “Invoices” section.
Legal Diary Long SMS
A firm can now configure whether to allow long SMS’s or not [GP- 80698].
By default, this option is not selected.
To access this setting, browse to the “Practice Setup” module and open the “Branch Details”
dialog for the applicable branch.
Select the “Firm Preferences” tab.
A new section “Legal Diary SMS” has been added with a checkbox option for “Allow
long SMSs”
Tick the checkbox if you want this feature to apply to the Legal Diary SMS action (ad-hoc
activity and bulk SMS)
