Automatic Interaction and
seamless Integration of Big
Data Hubs on Internet

Big Data Hubs on the Internet
Data are trapped in isolated islands
The world has seen creation of a great number of
data hubs globally.
However, at present, the most of such data hubs are
functioning as if they were “isolated islands” of data
and information.
The data hubs are deployed with different
technologies at geographically dispersed locations.
There has been a critical barrier to the
interconnectivity and interoperability between big data
hubs.
Can they talk to each other for exchange
data? Critical barriers of server-to-serve communication and
data exchange needs to be overcome.
Automatic interaction and seamless integration of Big
Data hubs have been found feasible to allow fast
response time of communication and geodata
transfer for future development of interoperable
services.
Critically important to seamless integration of big data
hubs are interoperable communication protocols.
High performance processors in live distributed
computing systems can be developed for finding new
solutions for ensuring prompt Internet services.
Open Geospatial Consortium
specifications and Standardisation of
Spatial Data With the development of new initiatives in Open data and
Open Standards, a showcase is presented to illustrate
how geodata hubs can interact and communicate with
each other automatically for timely data exchange.
Showcased are the design and development of an
Internet-based geodata processing service demonstrator
system and the operation of critical data bridges between
geodata services with the use of Open Geographical
Consortium (OGC)’s specifications.
Standards are important.
Application examples of geo-data standards.
