HOW THE PROGRAM WORKSThe Be a Santa to a Senior Program partners with local non-profit and community organizations to identify seniors who might not otherwise receive gifts this holiday season. The company then works with local businesses and retail stores to help facilitate the purchase and distribution of gifts by placing trees and ornaments within their various locations. Each senior’s gift requests are written on a Be a Santa to a Senior bulb. Customers will buy the requests and drop off the gifts at a designated donation site. Oakmont as well as the BASTAS program will host a gift wrapping party to help wrap gifts, and on the week of December 18th, local sheriffs and police will deliver gifts to the non-profit and community organizations.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVEDDonate, Donate, Donate! With over 1000 needy adults, we can never have enough gifts! Along with a gift should be a letter, feel free to pick one out at the store or make one yourself! Set up a tree or wreath in your classroom, office, or cubicle and tell your work friends about this program! The more talk about it, the more gifts we can give! Be a volunteer. We will need quite a few of Santa’s helpers to wrap gifts at our gift wrapping party!
