Back in the 60th Gildetun was opened as a small mountain resort hotel. Ever since the family owned hotel had guests from all over the world having a break on their way to or from the North Cape.The hotel and some cabines are located on the top of Kvænangsfjell, 412 meters above sea level, with a spectacular view of the Kvænan-gen Fjord, the mountains with the glacier Øksfjordjøkelen and the Arctic Ocean.
The hotel has 29 double rooms in the main building and 26 double rooms in cabins, all with private bathrooms. The traditional architecture and the Sami influenced craftsmanship and art has attracted many visitors. The cozy restaurant and bar is fully licensed and the perfect place to experience the midnight sun and the spectacular views.
But Gildetun and it’s restaurant is also the perfect place for a short break. Come in for a cup of tea or coffee, enjoy our homemade waf-fles or order a nice lunch or dinner.
The hotel has 29 double rooms in the main building. All rooms have private bathrooms and either sea or mountain view. In the cabins, we have 26 double rooms. The cabins are the best choice if you are looking for a family room. All room & cabin rates are including breakfast and VAT. Our Restaurant
The cozy restaurant is ideal to sit down, enjoy a meal and the wonder-ful panoramic views. Restaurant and cafeteria are spread over five sep-arate rooms with a capacity for up to 200 guests. All rooms are nicely decorated and Sami handicrafts give it a special touch. Enjoy our specialties such as salmon and reindeer, produced by local suppliers and always freshly prepared. Our restaurant is fully licensed and we offer local Norwegian beer and a nice house wine, moderate-ly priced. On sunny days you can enjoy drinks and measured back out on our large sun terrace with beautiful panoramic views.

Hiking You can start your tour directly from the hotel. Riverboat tour to Mollisfossen From Reisadalen: Tour of traditional river boat up to the 269 meter high Mollisfossen through untouched pine forest. 97 km / hour from 1:35 Gildetun.
