Abiotic and Biotic Factors and Characteristics

The tundra is a cold treeless biome. The animals that live there have warm coats. If they don’t they will die from cold or other animals. Some of the abiotic factors are snow, cold temperatures, soil, etc. Some biotic factors are Arctic Foxes, Arctic Falcons, Brown Bears, etc.

Location

Tundra biomes are located on the edge on the south and most on the north. They are mostly on the north instead of the south. Tundras are usually on the edge of cold lands. For example the North Pole.

Body Adaptations

One of the adaptations I know is the arctic fox. The Arctic Foxes adaptations are when it goes in a tundra biome will get short ears and a short body. It will also have a thick coat to minimize amount of skin. In a tundra, most animals will adapt to have warm coats like the fox. If they don’t they will die from the cold.

Conservation Issue

The tundra’s conservation issue is pollution. People made a factory near a tundra biome the smoke caused the pollution. It could also spread in another biome or town nearby and can cause pollution there too.
