SwimwearBritish Swimming and Scottish Swimming advise that FINABL8.1 only applies toOlympicGames andFINAevents.AsuitcheckwillonlybemadeifaWorldorEuropeanrecordisbeingclaimed.Thereisnorequirementfor officials to check that costumes are on the approved FINA list. Bylaws BL 8.2 and BL 8.3 cover therequirementsfordesignandmaterial.

ACCREDITATIONAllcompetitorsandclub/teamstaffinthismeetwillbeissuedwithanaccreditationpasswhichwillallowthemaccesstothechangingvillage,designatedseatingareasandpoolside.Thepasseswillincludeabarcodeonthereversesidethatmustbescannedonthebarrierstothechangingvillageinordertogainaccesstothemeet.Accreditationpassesmustbecarriedandvisibleatalltimesthroughthevenue.Competitorsshouldtaketheiraccreditationwith them to the call room andmarshalling areas. Accreditation passes will be given out onarrivalatthemeet.Pleasedonotattempttoaccessareaswhereyouraccreditationisinvalid.

TRAININGAVAILABILITYLong course (6 lanes) trainingwill be available for visiting teams from 16:00-20:00 on Thursday 23rdMay.During themeet the four lane25mteachingpoolwillbeavailable for trainingandcontinuouswarm-upandswim-downuse. In addition, two lanes (short course)will be available in the trainingpool duringmorningheatsandeveningfinalsforthepurposeofracewarm-up,pace/speedworkandblockstarts.Thesetwolanesarespecificallyforracepreponlyandshouldnotbeusedforswim-downsorgeneralswimming.Thetrainingpoolcanbeaccessedviathedooradjacenttothestartingendofthemainpool.

POOLSIDEACCESSANDTEAMSEATINGAccesstothebuildingforswimmersandteamstaffwillopenfrom7:30ameachday.Swimmersandteamstaffshouldenterandexitpoolside through themainentrance to thechangingvillageonly. Accreditationpasseswillberequiredtogainaccesstothepoolsidebyscanningthebarcodeonthereverseofthepassatthebarrier.Seating for teams/clubswillbe in theGeorgeStand(tieredseatsadjacent to thepoolside,opposite themainspectatorstand).Appropriatefootwearshouldbewornonpoolsideandwhenmovingaroundtheseatingareaespeciallyonthestairsandinthetoiletareaforhygieneandsafetyreasons.Limitedadditionalspacewillbeavailableinthedrylandprepareabehindthecurtainatthestartingend. Teamsusingthisareamustnotuseany of the gymnastic and athletics equipment andbe respectful of noise levels, particularly close to the callroomandduringracestarts.

TeaandcoffeewillbeavailablethroughouttheeventforCoachesandTeamStaffintheAltyreSuite(exceptforSaturdayevening).Pleasenotethatintheinterestsofreducingtheenvironmentalimpactofplasticuse,therewill not be anybottledwater available in this room. As such coaches are advised to bring their ownwaterbottleswhichcanbefilledfromwaterigloosavailableonsite.

Pacelanesandone-wayonly laneswillbemadeavailableasrequiredduringeachwarm-up. The25mfour-lane teachingpool in themainpool hall is available throughout eachday. Two lanes (short course)will beavailable in the training pool during morning heats and evening finals for the purpose of race warm-up,pace/speedworkandblockstarts.Theselanesshouldnotbeusedforswim-downsorgeneraltraining.

Swimmersmustfollowtheinstructionsprovidedontheplacardsattheendofeachlaneduringwarm-ups.

CALLROOMANDMARSHALLINGSwimmersmustreporttotheCallRoompriortoallheatsandfinalsswims.Publishedstartandreporttimesfortheheatsareforguidelineonlyandnotstrictlyenforcedoradheredto.Itistheswimmer’sresponsibilitytomonitor the flow of themeet and ensure they arrive at the Call Room sufficiently in advance of their race.Swimmers who fail to report to the Call Roomwill be deemed to have withdrawn from the event. TRAVEL&TRANSPORTTollcross International SwimmingCentre is in the east end of Glasgow, approximately 4miles from the citycentrewhichiswellservedbyGlasgowCentralandGlasgowQueenStreetrailwaystations. Theclosest localrailway station to the venue is Carntyne, approximately 0.7miles (15minutewalk) north of the pool. Thevenueiseasilyaccessiblebybuswithmultiplebusroutesto/fromthecitycentreadjacentandclosetothepoolonTollcrossRoadandLondonRoad.GlasgowInternationalAirportislocatedtothewestofthecitycentre,13miles(20minutedrive)fromTollcross.

PARKINGParking is available at the venue butwill fill up very quickly each day due to the limited number of spacesavailable. Some spaces will be reserved for Guests and one section of the car park will be specifically forGlasgowClubmembersonlywhoareusingthevenueforotheractivities.Carparkstewardswillmanagetheparkingthroughoutthemeetandvisitorsarerequestedtofollowtheinstructionsofthecarparkstewardsatalltimes.

For those attending themeet, further on street parking is available on the residential roads adjacent to thevenue. Swimmers, teamsandspectatorsareadvised tocar sharewherepossibleorusepublic transport inordertolimittheamountoftrafficatthevenue.

MEALSFOROFFICIALS&TEAMSTAFFMealsandrefreshmentswillbeprovidedfreeofchargeforallmeetofficials.Clubteamstaffwhohaveorderedmeals using the form previously provided in the Entry Pack will have small coloured stickers on theiraccreditationpasstodenotethis.MealswillbeavailablebetweensessionsintheWellshotRoom.Thosetakingmealsarerequestedtoallowthosewhoneedtobebackonpoolsideearliesttoeatfirst.
