in any other art form. Choral music is for all people, knowing no limits, ready to touch hearts and change lives.

Reaching more than 25,000 people annually through masterful performances, meaningful education programs

and a commitment to community engagement, the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir’s bold vision for the future

depends on you.

Our success over more than eight decades is built upon the legacy of those who have gone before us, those who

MASTERWORKS ENDOWMENTThe experience of choral music is always spellbinding, but the epic scale and depth of symphonic repertoire

transcends everyday life. Classic masterworks like Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Bach’s B Minor Mass, Handel’s Messiah

and Mozart’s Requiem squarely define our programmatic core. Additionally, newly commissioned works expand

the pantheon of choral-orchestral repertoire, breathing new life into this timeless art form. This fund helps

underwrite the performance of music that exemplifies a commitment to our musical craft.

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR ENDOWMENTAt the heart of a world-class musical organization is a highly talented artistic director. Beyond leading

rehearsals and performances, the artistic director serves as the institutional compass. They guide the creative

and programmatic direction, establish vision and ensure musicians and audiences alike are enraptured

by the beauty of the human voice. This fund provides for the financial needs of a visionary artistic leader

by endowing this position in perpetuity.

needs of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and establishes resources

in two specific areas.

CAMPAIGN SUMMARY:

The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir’s endowment campaign is built on careful planning,

thoughtful implementation and the participation of individuals just like you. Over a

three-year period spanning 2017 through 2019, we will reach this intrepid

$3.75 million goal thanks to your generosity.

Unveiled to our community at the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir’s 80th Anniversary

Celebration, a performance of Mendelssohn’s Elijah in spring 2017, this campaign is

led by the Endowment Campaign Committee.
