This day is aimed at igniting your enthusiasm and love for removable prosthodontics, showing how we can change our patients’ lives with beautifully made dentures. In this one day seminar Finlay will present some of his methods and techniques used to deliver dentures with superb aesthetics and optimal function. Finlay will cover complete dentures, partial dentures and implant retained dentures. This day is designed for all experiences of dentists, prosthodontists, restorative specialists, clinical dental technicians, dental technicians, dental nurses and other interested members of the dental team. This will be a very practical and clinically useful presentation; abundantly illustrated with photographs and videos showing how Finlay and his dental technician, Rowan Garstang, produce removable dental prostheses with optimal function and aesthetics.

Finlay says, “I used to be anxious when providing dentures for my patients as success was so unpredictable. After dedicating the last 20 years to this discipline, I now absolutely love making them and it is all I do in my clinical practice. I love teaching the dental team how my team and I do it. I am so fortunate in having one the world’s finest dental technicians working in the next room, Rowan Garstang. During the last 20 years Rowan and I have made over 800 sets of dentures and have only had one patient that we know of where they have required dental implants to support our dentures afterwards.”

Dr Finlay Sutton BDS, DGDP (UK), MSc, MFDS RCS Ed, MRD RCS Ed, PhD, FDS (Rest Dent) RCS Ed. Registered Specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Endodontics & Periodontics.

Finlay qualified as a dentist in Sheffield in 1993 and worked in General Dental Practice for 6 years. He has always had a desire to provide the best possible treatment for his patients and has continued to develop professionally through specialist training leading to; MSc in fixed and removable prosthodontics, PhD and two Specialist qualifications (MRD & FDS). He has previously been a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow and Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester and Liverpool University Dental Hospital.
