    Square pipe test

    • Internal Jotun test developed together with Sintef

    • Test method based on the “square pipe test” developed by HiTempCoatings. A modification of the Shell test and ASTM G189.

    • Will be part of the new ISO standard for verifying CUI coatings

  • Michelle Ystad Eriksen / Jotatemp 250 – Offshore meeting / May 2016

    Jotun Protective Coatings

    Square pipe test

    • The pipe is subjected to cyclic conditions for 30 cycles before the tested coating is examined

    • A coated square pipe is placed in a test chamber and heated internally using an aluminum heating block

    30x

    Dry heat at 250C – 8 hrs
