Promote technical education on glass throughout the focused on glass

material, and its production / transformation processes

Target: glass technichians, suppliers, recyclers, architects, container

designers, ceramists, researcher, teachers and students.

Teachers: technical seniors that worked or still working in glass plants,

university, suppliers, consultants.

14 Different trainings are available. Usually 6 per year. Could be tailor

made in company

1st Technical Conference on Glass

In 2016 the 1st Technical Conference on Glass was in Sao Paulo city at

University of Sao Paulo.

21 speeches were presented for the glass community, since technical

aspects until man power formation and development of people.

Beyond the speeches the meeting promoted a huge and nice integration

between all attendants from glass industry, suppliers and academics.

in this occasion ABCeram profited to honor Mr. Edison Jose Toporcov for

your work, dedication and relevant contribution to the glass world.

Glass in October at the same place on the Sao Paulo University

with 2 days.

Cullet work group

Beyond the technical conference on the end of 2016 the commission on glass

start to prepare for 2017 a new work group to take care about the cullet

promoting cost reduction, improvement on quality and some recommendations

for:

Contaminant classification

Minimum quality

Granulometry

Sampling

Glass grinder

Justifications of quality for understanding of suppliers

To start, a research will be done with glass producers.

Month meetings are been scheduled.
