Prior Permission Required (PPR) Reservations
GEU has a long history of providing first class access to those visiting the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.
This event is no different; we remain committed to providing
exceptional service to all users of our facility. With that in mind, capacity at GEU is severely limited. The
Airport will be utilizing every resource at its disposal to assure that you receive the best service available.
The Airport has a set number of reservations that will be released in the months preceding the Super Bowl.
The Airport has developed this reservation system to comply
with the FAA’s mandate.
PPR (Cont.) The reservation system will provide the FAA with essential
information such as tail numbers and names of operators that will be utilizing the airspace for the time period surrounding the Super Bowl.
All transient aircraft intending to access GEU either VFR or
IFR from Thursday, January 29, 2015 through noon on Monday, February 2, 2015 must have a reservation with Glendale Aero Services.
Please contact Glendale Aero Services to discuss your service needs prior to your arrival.
These procedures will apply to Super Bowl and non‐Super Bowl Traffic.
Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR)
GEU is located within the 10‐mile TFR ring. Discrete code assigned by ATC
Operations into and out of Glendale airport will be
suspended for the duration of the Super Bowl TFR, 1 hour prior and 1 hour after the game.
Departure PPR Reservations Reservations can be made by contacting Glendale Aero Services at (623) 877‐3333
Departure Procedures Check In Departure Check in will be completed by the aircraft flight crew
at the departure control desk forty five minutes prior to departure. All passengers must be present. When cleared by the departure control desk ATC will be
notified via radio and the crew and passengers will be escorted/released to the aircraft.
Departure Procedures Clearance and Taxi
Contact GEU Ground Control on 118.0 to receive IFR clearance. Contact GEU Tower 121.0 for taxi.
Ground Transportation Vehicles will not be allowed to wait outside of FBO, due to
limited parking and security concerns. The ground transportation plan is dynamic and subject to change. Please check back for updates.
Space for accommodating ground transportation at Glendale
Municipal Airport is severely limited. Please expect significant traffic during the hours immediately following the game. Your patience is appreciated. Glendale Municipal Airport is located 2 and 1/2 driving miles
from University of Phoenix Stadium. Please refer to Glendale Aero Services for ground
transportation accommodations. Ramp side access for vehicles will be prohibited during the
week of the event.
Safety & Security
No vehicular access to any ramp, taxiway, or runway To ensure passenger safety, no loitering around any
parked aircraft, all passengers are requested to stay inside the aircraft unless transferring to a van or the terminal. No smoking on any ramp, taxiway, or runway.
No garbage, luggage, or packages to be left unattended.
The Airport reserves the right to restrict movement on any
movement area should the need arise.
Thank you for considering Glendale Municipal Airport for your Super
Bowl XLIX travel plans!
