English Word of the Month
Strike! English for Bowling was one of our favorite outings in January! Students had a blast learning the rules and etiquette for American bowling while enjoying pizza, learning language relating to common bowling terms, and keeping score. With friendly competition and an exciting venue, everyone laughed, learned, and bowled the night away!
Students cheered on the Detroit Pistons at our exciting event, Slam Dunk! English with the Pistons. All while socializing and experiencing the culture of American basketball, students played basketball jeopardy, learned basketball idioms, basic rules, teams to watch, and more.

In America, February is a month full of Romance with the preparation for Valentine’s day on February 14th. Example: “Learning how to cook with your partner for Valentine’s Day is very romantic.”
Teri Wertman has been teaching group outings with Global LT since 2017. Having a strong passion for Detroit’s culture, she uses Global LT’s group outings as a chance to share and experience her interests with others while teaching English.
Look out for our new student satisfaction surveys! Global LT is dedicated to our student’s satisfaction and providing exciting, quality outings that can be enjoyed by students of all ages. In the coming months, your Group Language Outing lead teacher may hand out a short survey for you to complete. These surveys are a great way for us to understand your interests, questions, and suggestions for improvement.
