Introduction and objective of the meeting

DAY ONE OBJECTIVE• To review and assess progress made toward the

implementation of the GNC work plan along the lines of the GNC strategic priorities.

• To review the work of the GNC Working Groups and other ad hoc working groups, build a better understanding on the challenges and provide direction to the way forward

• Update GNC partner on the current IASC initiatives such as the Transformative Agenda and Accountability to Affected Populations in relation to the role and actions of the GNC and have discussions around the implication of those two guidance document on the work of the Nutrition cluster.

DAY TWO OBJECTIVE

• Update the GNC partners of the achievements and challenges from selected Country Cluster Coordinators and build a common understanding of country level issues and challenges

DAY THREE OBJECTIVE• Provide updates on technical issues/initiatives in Nutrition

in Emergencies (including links between those initiatives the Nutrition Cluster)

• Provide direction to the Global Support Team on priority areas for the remainder of 2012 and half of 2013.

• Defines roles and responsibilities among cluster partners and the Global Nutrition Cluster Coordination Team in relation to the implementation of the GNC work plan

• Identify follow up action in terms of finalising work plans for the GNC as a whole and fund raising in support of the GNC work plan
