Problem Statement Electricity demand is increasing while production capacity
remains the same or is being reduced. Global warming is adding to the demand for power. Federal regulations impose restrictions on the use of coal
to generate power. The electrical infrastructure is aging with no plans for
immediate replacement or expansion to meet the growing demand.
Grid inefficiencies continue to grow with over one trillion kilowatt-hours being lost every year (67.8%) of generated electricity.*

*The Powerhouse boxes shown here are standard units, which are ideal for a number of commonly found residential, commercial, and industrial applications. However, since power demands vary greatly from one location and application to another, it is important that each site be carefully evaluated, properly sized, and unit(s) strategically placed.
** A licensed electrician must professionally install all Powerhouse units and sign the warranty card.

How Does it Work? All electrical energy coming into a facility is known as Apparent Power,
and the power we actually use is defined as Real Power. Even though you pay for it, a portion of the power entering your electrical
system is lost to ground and never consumed. This is referred to as Reactive Power.
The ultimate goal is to bring these two factors, Apparent Power and Real Power, closer together.
The Black Hawk Powerhouse is able to accomplish this by capturing this lost voltage, store it and feed it back into your electrical system.
In order to accomplish this, The Powerhouse adds capacitance (stored charge) via a series of capacitors and other electronic components.
This enables the unit to capture the Reactive Power, store it, and put it back into the system, evenly across all phases, as it is needed.

By doing this, The Powerhouse:
Reduces low voltage (issues Stabilizes and equalizes voltage across the phases of the complete system Reduces voltage drops and spikes when demand increases Reduces tripped breakers (as a result of low voltage or power spikes) Lowers kilowatt hours

By capturing and balancing the energy, The Powerhouse ensures that three phase equipment is running at its optimal performance with balanced voltages and less harmonics, which results in less mechanical problems and lower maintenance costs, thus, increasing the life of your equipment.
To summarize, The Black Hawk Powerhouse:
Balances voltage across all phases (legs) Balances the load and line harmonics between phases Reduces Reactive Power loss Reduces spikes in your energy demand, lowering your peak demand charges Reduces device vibration, noise and HEAT (motors are more efficient & run cooler) Provides surge protection (absorbing power spikes up to 50,000 volts) Increases lumens (amount of brightness) in your existing florescent and incandesant
lighting system Lowers lighting maintenance costs by extending the life of luminaires and ballasts Reduces heat rise on transformers Requires no special cooling or air conditioned environment Helps protect computers, operating systems, timers, relays, burglar alarms,
surveillance cameras, and other low voltage equipment that is sensitive to power spikes or low voltageCompany Proprietary 11

The unit cost for residential units (Res 3, Res 5, Res 7.5, Res 10) will range from $2,400-$3,000, based on Power Factor Measurements and sizing of the units for the specific site.
Commercial units (280V and 480V single and 3-phase units) are priced from $9,000 - $19,000 depending on actual measurements and sizing of the units to meet specific site demands.
The return on investment in all cases is less than two years and in some cases less than six months.
In addition to the purchase of these units, Global Power Energy Inc. is offering leasing options for three-four or five year leases with a $1.00 for purchase of the unit at the end of the lease.
