• Oriental, or Asian design most commonly refers to styles from China and Japan, though it also includes styles from Thailand, Korea, Vietnam and other Eastern countries
CHARACTERSTICS OF ORIENTAL STYLE• Space is premium(small spaces)• Almost everything has a dual purpose. • Easy access to an upper floor, loft or high storage and may also
serve as a room divider• Combined with silk fabrics and natural and painted woods, these
Asian-influenced bold colors create an exotic feel.• Screens serve as both room dividers and accent piece and can
range from the simple wood and rice-paper shojis, to brightly colored lacquer screens.

AFRICAN STYLE• Africa is a vast continent sprawling from Egypt and
Morocco in the North down to South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique in the South.
• While each and every country has its own unique style, interior design ideas usually incorporate neutral, earth tones combined with vibrant splashes of color.
CHARACTERSTICS OF AFRICAN STYLE
• Vivid colors combined with earth tones are the basis of this style.
• Details such as animal prints further emphasize the splendor of the black continent.
• Virtual masks and wooden figures giving to the space mystical note.

• Ideology is focused on performance and dismisses the overuse of fashionable accessories, similar to the simple nature of the Nordic inspired Minimalist style
