Global Tech LED is an LED manufacturing and retrofit design company based out of Bonita Springs, FL. Our

Our Solstice LED engines are used in LED retrofit kits and new fixtures for commercial and industrial lighting

applications. Of the 500,000,000 HID bulbs in the USA alone, Solstice engines 5498 and M21, can replace every

one of them, while producing the highest quality light in any fixture.

With the introduction of Life Sync smart technology, our engines are now intelligent. Monitoring their

environment, Solstice engines run at optimum settings without damaging themselves, thus extending their

life expectancies. Life Sync also supplements lumen depreciation by slowly ramping lumen output to prevent

lumen depreciation for the first 70,000 hours of operation time.

Universal Compatibility

Solstice retrofit options are compatible with virtually every HID fixture, and most other high lumen applications including recessed and track lighting. Superior active cooling coupled with proprietary thermal management design, ensures the module maintains efficiency in high temperatures, provides color consistency, and ensures low light degradation throughout it’s life expectancy of over 100,000 hours. Solstice engines come in two sizes. The “Solstice” is a 42 LED chip module ranging from 75W-135W, and the “Solstice Mini” is a 21 LED chip module ranging from 30W-60W. With a variety of photometric options and unlimited possibilities these modules can be used to replace any HID bulb in any application.

Life Sync Smart Technology

With the introduction of Life Sync smart technology, our engines are now intelligent. Monitoring their environment, Solstice engines run at optimum settings without damaging themselves, thus extending their life expectancies. Life Sync also supplements lumen depreciation by slowly ramping up current to prevent lumen depreciation for the first 70,000 hours of operation time. Learn more on page 7.

Power Modes

Pre-set to user specified wattage from the factory, on board dip switches provide power adjustment capabilities for OEM fixture manufacturers and lighting designers who wish to adjust power and brightness in the field. Additionally, on board energy savings program 5-6-1 is provided, and when activated, dims the engines automatically during off peak hours without using external controls. This system saves the equivalent of 1,100 hours of operating time per fixture, per year. Learn more on page 13.

Scalability

Solstice modules have the benefit of being completely scalable by allowing multiple modules to be installed in one fixture, if necessary. Both retrofit fixtures and brand new Solstice LED units are ordered and built to the requirements of each application. Learn more on page 15.

Advanced Optics

Advanced optic lenses in our Solstice engines provide the ability to customize light distribution to the location. These specialized lenses can deliver light where needed, reducing dark spots, wasted lumens, and unwanted light pollution. Learn more on page 9.

The Global Tech LED Roadway retrofits and LED fixtures have a life expectancy of over 100,000 hours, offering more than 15 years of reliable service. These efficient LED Roadway Luminaires yield up to a 70% reduction in system energy requirements when compared to standard HID systems. These features significantly reduce maintenance frequency and expense.

U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) research studies show that simply shifting the color of lamps from the warmer yellow end of the color spectrum to the cooler blue end of the color spectrum, allows the human eye to view objects more clearly and spaces to appear brighter. By changing the spectrum to mimic daylight, lighting levels can be reduced to save additional energy while still achieving the same visual acuity.

Conventional roadway practices use lamps with a Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) of 2,700K. Our spectrally enhanced LED Cobra Luminaire nearly doubles that with a CCT of 5,000K. The higher CCT, available in our LED modules, causes the aforementioned shift in the color spectrum, translating to improved visual acuity and nighttime visibility.

Street Area

High MastBeyond the brilliant new Solstice LED high mast fixture, Global Tech LED was the first to develop high mast retrofit lighting systems, and is now pioneering type 2 and 3 high mast systems as well. These new and innovative modular LED systems provide up to 25 years of operating life and up to 70% energy savings when compared to traditional high mast products. With customizable optics, Global Tech LED offers customer choices on light levels and distribution. Trusted by the United States Department of Transportation and various ports around the world, Global Tech LED now invites you to secure your LED investment with the world’s only LED high mast retrofit.

Lights with screw top finials are common in decorative lighting. Our Solstice LED modules can easily be mounted to decorative street lights using our unique finial or Y bracket attachments.

The option to mount our modules directly to prismatic glass refractors is also available, allowing the existing fixture to use the light distribution pattern already in place. Our LED Acorn fixtures offer the same innovative features of all other Solstice LED products in a new LED fixture.

The visibility produced by the Global Tech LED Wall Pack lighting drastically increases visibility surrounding buildings, and in turn increases security and accents building aesthetics. With a variety of Wall Pack’s to choose from in addition to our numerous Kelvin and Optic distribution choices, the control lies entirely in the customers hands. Photometric analysis is offered as a free service through Global Tech LED in order to ensure optimal light distribution, with absolutely no surprises.

ParkingCustomer safety and reduction of glare are paramount when designing lighting systems. The side emitting optics for Solstice modules produce even distribution, thus eliminating dark spots. Program DIP switch: Program Selection - You can currently select 1 of 4 programs, as indicated by the dot allocation next to the DIP Switch.

STD:A default setting, unit is on at all times.

561 energy saver program (save):When this option is selected it allows the customer to operate outdoor lamps at 100% output for the first 5 hours of operation, dimming 50% for 6 late evening hours, than ramping back up to 100% output for the last hour of the evening. Active Cooling Thermal SolutionOptimize the Module for the Retrofit

System Information

Using a fan to force air through the heat sink provides an optimal level of active cooling by transporting excess heat away from the critical components on the circuit board. This viable active cooling solution for high brightness LEDs is inherently low in energy consumption, flexible enough to fit into a small space, and has an expected life over 100,000hrs matching that of the Luxeon LEDs. This system is used in retrofits to compensate for the lack of passive heat transfer in older fixtures.

Wireless CapabilitiesCompatible with all 0-10 V Dimming/Control Systems

Global Tech LED’s modules have the ability to work with a wide variety of wireless lighting technologies. Our Solstices are compatible with any 0-10V dimming system available on the market.

Dimming Controllers:

Most modern lighting dimming systems use a 0-10V input system in order to control the level of light. Some wireless control systems incorporate scheduling, which dims the lighting to a certain percentage for certain periods of time. These systems give you greater control of your energy efficiency by using less light during times of decreased traffic.

Switch Controls:

In some cases, the user wants to be able to turn their lighting system off remotely, without the need of having to log into a computer system.

Motion Sensors:

Motion sensors allow our modules to only use energy when certain areas are occupied. This extends the life of the module, and increases security for the monitored areas.

produce. Perfect for walkways, roads, and park lighting, these fixtures are available in two different mounting options, refractor

and finial, producing the optimal lighting for any post top lighting environment

Global Tech LED area lighting fixtures provide custom light distribution for a

variety of applications from roadways to parking lots. Some of these fixtures have

the ability to be built with our Solstice ECO Module, decreasing initial costs and providing a quicker return on investment.

This lighting not only improves visual acuity around the building, it also creates a more aesthetically pleasing environment. These fixtures also have

the ability to be built with our ECO board module, decreasing initial costs and providing a quicker

return on investment.

Canopy and Garage Surface Mount fixtures are perfect for parking garages and gas stations. These fixtures

utilize refractor lenses to spread light outward. Canopy and Surface mounts have the ability to be built with our Solstice ECO Module, decreasing initial costs and

Retrofit SystemsOptimize the Module for the Fixture

The Yoke Retrofit Bracket With only three pieces, the yoke retrofit is the most universal mounting solution available. The threaded rod can be made to any length, optimizing the bracket for the fixture. The same bracket and rod (without the base) is used for finial applications or situations where a threaded rod would be a better mounting option. The U-bracket alone can bolt into nearly any fixture. The yoke retrofit system is our most versatile retrofit mount.

The Plate Retrofit Global Tech LED has predesigned plates to fit almost any fixture. However, if a fixture you would like to retrofit doesn’t fit one of our existing designs, we’ll make one that will. Simply send us a sample fixture or the fixture dimensions, and our engineers will customize a plate for you. Custom logos and designs can be achieved with our plate retrofit system.

Retrofit SystemsOptimize the Module for the Fixture

The Universal Plates The new Global Tech LED Universal Plates are an innovative solution which solves the issue of designing a custom plate. With these new plate systems a range of fixture sizes can be retrofit using the same universal plate kit. This means they are stock-able and therefore there is no lead time. The Universal Plate systems are made for high bays, flood lights, and post tops. Each Universal Plate kit is available in various wattages, and module configurations. All Universal Plates have fully adjustable arms.

The Threaded Rod Not all fixtures can be retrofit with a plate or yoke mount, such as acrylic high bays. For this small percentage of fixtures we have designed a Threaded Rod retrofit system. The rod is mounted to the center of the fixture and can angle the modules outwards for increased side emitted light. Our customers are extremely impressed with the quality of light that is produced by the Threaded Rod retrofit.

The Post Top Systems Using either the threaded rod or the plate/refractor retrofit systems the Solstice® LED units can retrofit any post top fixture. The Solstice® module delivers a brilliant and clean look to post top applications without changing the fixture.


DriversOptimize the Module for the Application

LEDs have evolved into a practical, flexible light source for a wide variety of illumination applications. Common LED products available in the market today are configured in a series-parallel array – designed to be powered by a suitable 24VDC driver – which allows flexibility to connect variable load levels.

Global Tech LED WarrantySTATEMENT OF LIMITED WARRANTYFOR GLOBAL TECH LED, LLC2/25/14

Subject to the exclusions set forth below, Global Tech LED, LLC. (“Global Tech”) warrants its commercial Solstice light emitting diode (LED) engine, including the LED arrays, fan, and integral control devices (“Products(s)”), to be free from defect in materials and workmanship (the “General Warranty”) for a period of ten (10) years from the date of shipment from Global Tech’s facilities or 50,000 operating hours, whichever is reached first.. The LED arrays in the Product(s) will be considered defective in material or workmanship only if a total of 10% or more of the individual light emitting diodes in the Product(s) fail to illuminate. The supplied driver is warrantied for 5 years. Global Tech will assist the customer in replacement of this product with the original OEM manufacturer. Global Tech may choose to replace drivers with another OEM if necessary at its discretion.

LABOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH WARRANTABLE LED MODULE REPLACEMENT.Global Tech LED may pay labor costs on a job with a 3% or greater failure rate due to a product defect, up to $25 (twenty five dollars) per unit at GTL’s discretion, associated with replacement of product deemed warrantable upon inspection of returned goods up to one year from date of purchase. Invoices for labor must be sent to Global Tech LED along with RGA (return goods authorization), and product to be inspected for warranty claim. If product defect is considered warrantable upon GTL inspection, Global Tech LED will reimburse labor expenses up to $25 per LED engine. Projects asking for Labor cost reimbursements must first get approval from GTL and be issued an RGA that includes labor costs. GTL will not be responsible for equipment rental or other additional costs that may occur. *This program is subject to change at GTL’s discretion. This Statement of Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) applies only when the Product(s) are installed in applications in which ambient temperatures are within the range of specified operating temperatures and are operated within the electrical values shown on the LED driver Label. Global Tech will not be responsible under this Warranty for any failure of the Product(s) that results from external causes such as: acts of nature; physical damage; exposure to adverse or hazardous chemical or other substances; use of reactive cleaning agents and/or harsh chemicals to clean the Product(s); environmental conditions; vandalism; fire; power failure, improper power supply, power surges or dips, and/or excessive switching; induced vibration; animal or insect activity; fault or negligence of purchaser, any end user of the Product(s) and/or any third party not engaged by Global Tech; improper or unauthorized use, installation, handling, storage, alteration, maintenance or service, including failure to abide by any product classifications or certifications, or failure to comply with any applicable standards, codes, recommendations, product specification sheets, or instructions of Global Tech; use of the Product(s) with products, processes or materials supplied by any end user or third party; or any other occurrences beyond Global Tech’s reasonable control. Adequate records of operating history, maintenance, and/or testing must be kept by the end user and provided to Global Tech upon request to substantiate that the Product(s) have failed to comply with the terms of this Warranty. Neither polycarbonate non acrylic material used in the Products is warranted against yellowing, as yellowing may naturally occur over time due to normal aging. The Product(s) are not warranted against costs that may be incurred in connection with changes or modifications to the Product(s) required to accommodate site conditions and/or faulty building construction or design. In addition, the Product(s) are not warranted against cost resulting from installation of a third party components, failures of third party supplied components, or failures of Global Tech supplied Product(s) caused by a third party supplied component. If Global Tech determines, at its sole discretion, the Product(s) fail to comply with the terms of this Warranty, Global Tech, at its option, will repair or replace the Product(s) with the same or a functionally equivalent Product(s) or component part(s). This Warranty excludes labor and equipment required to remove and/or reinstall original or replacement parts. This Warranty extends only to the Product(s) as delivered to, and is for the sole and exclusive benefit of, the original end user of the Product(s) at the original location. This Warranty may not be transferred or assigned by the original end user. The repair or replacement of any Product(s) or component part within the Product(s) is the sole and exclusive remedy for failure of the Product(s) to comply with the terms of this Warranty and does not extend the Warranty period. Warranty claims regarding the Product(s) must be submitted in writing within (30) days of discovery of the defect or failure to an authorized Global Tech post sales or customer service representative. Product(s) or component part(s) may be required to be returned for inspection and verification of non conformance by Global Tech, but no Product(s) or component part(s) will be accepted for inspection, verification or return unless accompanied by a “return authorization number” which can be obtained only from an authorized Global Tech post sales or customer service representative. Global Tech is not responsible for any costs and expenses incurred in connection with shipment of Product(s) to Global Tech, but Global Tech shall bear all cost and expense incurred in connection with shipment of replacement Product(s) to the customer.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY TERMS ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, AND GLOBAL TECH EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, RELATING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY TO THE PRODUCT(S), WHETHER ORAL, WRITTEN, OR ARISING BY COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE, INCLUDING ,WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO AGENT, DISTRIBUTOR OR OTHER SUPPLIER OF GLOBAL TECH PRODUCTS HAS THE AUTHORITY TO MODIFY OR AMEND THIS WARRANTY WITHOUT EXPRESS WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION FROM GLOBAL TECH.

The total liability of Global Tech on any and all claims of any kind, whether in contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with, or resulting from, Global Tech’s performance or breach of this Warranty, or from Global Tech’s sale, delivery, resale, repair, or replacement of any Product(s) or the furnishing of any services, shall in no event exceed the purchase price allocable to the Product(s) that give rise to the claim, and any and all such liability shall terminate upon the expiration of the warranty period specified above.

IN NO EVENT SHALL GLOBAL TECH BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, WHETHER AS THE RESULT OF BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LABOR OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED TO REMOVE AND/OR REINSTALL ORIGINAL OR REPLACEMENT PARTS, LOSS OF TIME, PROFITS OR REVENUES, LACK OR LOSS OF PRODUCTIVITY, INTEREST CHARGES OR COST OF CAPITAL, COST OF SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT, SYSTEMS, SERVICES OR DOWNTIME COSTS, DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF USE OF PROPERTY OR EQUIPMENT OR ANY INCONVENIENCE ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THE FOREGOING WARRANTY OR OBLIGATIONS UNDER SUCH WARRANTY.

Global Tech reserves the right to modify or discontinue this Warranty without notice provided that any such modification or discontinuance will only be effective with respect to any Product(s) purchased after such modification or discontinuance.
