we would need 4 planets to even

survive.

The average UK citizen will

generate more greenhouse gases

by the time they’re 5 months old,

than someone in Tanzania will in

their entire lifetime.

The current economy values someaspects of the world more, such as oil,

but ignores others, such as forests and the environment.

And forests only become important to

our economy

when they are being cut down.

Can we adapt our economy to meet the

needs of the ecosystem?

The question is:

The only solution:

A new type of economics,

one which values people

and the planet.

We need to create a better economy,

one that protects the Earth instead of destroying it. We need to make an

eco-economy

Proposals:

A new global food system that stops the

environmentally wasteful and damaging way

we produce and trade what we eat.

Redesigning human development so that it is climate proof and

climate friendly.

Create new technologies that are less material dependent.

i.e. The use of cell phones, which rely on satellites instead of copper wire;

costing less money.

One way to lessen pollution

is to put more taxes on what’s causing it.

Use light bulbs that require less energy.

i.e.-Compact Fluorescent light bulbs can save up to 150 pounds of Carbon Dioxide a year.

We need to create an eco-economy that will prevent bankruptcy

Its not too late to

save our world!!
