The Crossway Trails network is an evolving and interconnected system of paths across North Central Indiana and Southwest Michigan, meant to connect families, friends, commuters, and visitors to their destinations easily and safely. Connecting paths like these provide opportunities to improve health outcomes, strengthen communities, and enhance accessibility and mobility for all. There are over 150 miles of existing paths, with the vision of adding over 250 miles of planned paths in the next 20 years.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH

INDIANA MICHIGAN RIVER VALLEY TRAIL:A 17-mile trail connecting Mishawaka, Indiana to Niles, Michigan. Experience both the urban landscape of downtown river walks and the naturalistic scenery of the St. Joseph River.

PUMPKINVINE NATURE TRAIL:A perfect way to enjoy the nature of Elkhart County as it connects Goshen to Middlebury to Shipshewana, Indiana, with a 17.6 mile rail trail!

MAPLE HEART TRAIL:An 11.5 mile trail adjacent to the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks connecting the cities of Elkhart and Goshen Indiana. It joins with the Pumpkinvine on the south end, allowing for over 25 miles of connected trail through Elkhart County.

PLYMOUTH GREENWAY TRAIL:Ride from Centennial Park along the Yellow River to River Park Square. You will ride past both parks and schools, making this trail perfect for recreational and purposeful riding.

WINONA LAKE HERITAGE TRAIL:With just under 2 miles of paved trail, riders travel through beautiful downtown Winona Lake and through the woods, ending at the Old Chicago Boys Club. From there, you can ride one of the mountain bike trails for an extra adventure.
