• On March 10, 2011, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted the White House Conference on Bullying Prevention to bring together students, parents, educators, policymakers, non-profit leaders, and administration officials to address the challenges posed by bullying, to highlight successful efforts of those who are taking action, and to send the message we must all work together to make our schools and communities safe for all students.

• Last fall several tragic suicides linked to bullying caught the nation’s attention and focused it on what has been a longstanding and pervasive problem in our schools. . . including launching a new web site today, stopbullying.gov.  But with the President’s involvement today, we are sending the strongest message we can that all of us need to do more.  (…The President and First Lady released a special video message).

The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program has received recognition from a number of organizations committed to preventing school violence. The program has been named:

•Blueprints Model Program, Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence, University of Colorado at Boulder•Effective Program, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, U.S. Department of Justice•Level 2 Program, U.S. Department of Education ("Level 2" programs have been scientifically demonstrated to prevent delinquency or reduce risk and enhance protection for delinquency and other child and youth problems using either an experimental or quasi-experimental research design with a comparison group.

The OBPP has recently been endorsed in the American Academy of Pediatrics Policy Statement.

Campus Impact began in 1999 as a result of the major bullying issues that transpired around our nation. The program began with a couple of people concerned and passionate about helping youth and has evolved from a one day program where students came to our facility to presenters visiting students once a month. Classroom sized presentations are the cornerstone of the program.

This change provided consistency and valuable life-changing experiences for students nine times out of the year. As a result they experienced amazing results and improvement in school climates.
