What is good about goal setting

Begin with the end in mind

You read a book from beginning to end;

You plan by beginning with your goal and then you back track by making the plan of action;

It is a reverse thinking process

What is the secret of success?

A guest entrepreneur, the daughter of the largest real estate developer in Region 3 asked this and I volunteered many answers like –”Hard work, hard work, hard work”; “keep your word”, “ good planning and execution”

And THEY WERE ALL WRONG!

Your goal should burn and be etched be clearly in your mind.

You must see it in your mind;

You must feel it;

You must live it;

When you have a goal without action plan, you are day dreaming

Ideas are fine but execution is a bitch;

Many great ideas are washed down the drain in the bathroom;

Many know the principles of getting rich but never get rich; all of these are available for free at the WEB

Why?

I had pictures on the mirror to motivate me to achieve

I placed a picture of a MB 124 and a 7 series BMW on the mirror and I placed my signature on this and a year;

I listed down all my goals beside that picture : the projects I will do, the salary and the networth that I should have for a certain date.

This strategy helped me achieve my goals

Plan SMART

Specific: amount, it must be concrete and discrete; can not be ambiguous and general;

Measureable: in pesos, in monetary terms, in inches, meters or time if it is a race;

Achievable - you resources and experience must fit the goal

Realistic - it can not be just an imagination

Time bound - there must be timeline; deadlines for achievement
