• Hiring– Updating the Posting with who was Hired, Hire Type, Category to help with statistical reporting (new grad, minority,
…)– In PRO.300 “F4”ing on the posting to autofill - avoid mistakes!

• Newest Features– New option in short list codes (POS.217) : Allow admin to attach
interview results ‘package’ right onto applicant from their job posting <Select> … anyone using? PLPSD using at Board Office to attach submitted reference information. Unfortunate - cannot use for both!
– New auto-short list to have applicants appear immediately to admin. New Exclude from AC ‘D’ to not show the posting to admin at all until the deadline date
– Enhanced screening worksheet (POS.520) to default to exclude those not shortlisted ‘Y’ to limit the report
– Enhanced Posting letter (POS.522) to exclude hired Y/N so you can run your ‘Thanks for applying’ letter and auto efile them without having to worry about the hired person.

• Newest Features– Enhanced JC screen to grey-out items like district email, teacher
certificate# etc. to help them understand this info is not editable. ALSO suggest districts add instructions to JC-0002 PAY.324
– Enhanced Email POS.525 options to include short list codes, be able to send to just hired or all but hired .. Don’t forget about this ability to email - great communication tool!
– **COOL** New Subscribe feature in JC• Applicant can choose to Subscribe and Unsubscribe• Email address appears in POS.304 (CIMS Core) for you to know/see/manage• New CIMS nightly job looks for any new postings and automatically email
notifies all of the subscribers

• Challenges and Goals– Still an issue with applicant info potentially being inputted with accents
and other non-standard characters. Watch for it – and correct it if/when that person becomes hired!
– Packaging up the post-hire documents into one neat ‘as at that posting’ set of information.
• Looking at PDFtron, PDFBox, ASPOSE PDF KIT, CUTEPDF SDK, Nitro - iSeries API’s that can automatically merge unlike things together into a single PDF …
– You can use Adobe • Map to Folder• Add all Files• SAVE

• Regarding packaging the app docs into one– If the issue is simply to ensure that if a job posting ever had to be
reviewed we could produce what was attached at that time then:
• PROPOSE: Create a CIMS Core option - copy all applicant contents to posting. This would
– create a folder /jobposting#
– copy all of the app stuff for all the candidates to this - as a second copy for safe keeping??
