From a collaboration between Kravitz Design Inc. and Lea Ceramiche rises Goccia, a new wall tile collection that offers a personal and contemporary interpretation of tridimensional decor.Goccia is a fine exercise to develop a unique dimension of the space: thanks to the transformation of the walls themselves, the decor of the surfaces becomes the centerpiece of the project. A module declined in different tridimensional shapes that play on concave and convex rigorously in black and white. Lights and shadows suggest the continuous movements of the water recreated in stylized shapes.

Dall’incontro tra Kravitz Design Inc. e Lea Ceramiche nasce Goccia, la nuova collezione per rivestimenti che offre una personale e contemporanea interpretazione del decoro tridimensionale. Goccia è un fine esercizio per sviluppare una dimensione unica dello spazio: grazie alla trasformazione delle pareti stesse, il decoro delle superfici rappresenta l’elemento portante del progetto.Un modulo declinato in diverse forme tridimensionali giocate su pieni e vuoti, rigorosamente in bianco e nero; luci e ombre suggeriscono e rimandano ai continui movimenti dell’acqua proposti e ricreati in forma stilizzata.

Founded by musician and creative

visionary Lenny Kravitz in 2003,

Kravitz Design Inc. is the result of the

artist’s desire to expand his creative

energies outside the worlds of music

and entertainment. Located in New

York’s SoHo neighborhood, the

design firm’s aesthetic translates to a

diverse set of circumstances through

its use of superior materials, unusual

textures, and classic compositions.

In 2005 and 2006, Swarovski

selected Kravitz Design Inc.

to contribute two breathtaking

chandeliers to its Crystal Palace

Collection. Kravitz Design also

conceived the environment and

identity for its Florida Room lounge

at the Delano for Morgans Hotel

Group and is responsible for the

luxury-recording studio located in

The Setai Resort & Residences in

Miami Beach. The firm’s most recent

endeavors include Tropicalismo,

a partnership with Flavor Paper,

involving a unique collection of hand-

screened wallpapers, and creative

work on the Miami, FL condominium

project Paramount Bay.

Kravitz Design Inc. also completed

work on an exclusive bungalow

and penthouse suite for the second

location of sbe’s award-winning SLS

Hotels brand, the SLS Hotel at South

Beach, set to open Spring 2012.

Geometrie a rilievo vengono esaltate dall’uso sapiente degli smalti e dalla polvere di graniglia nella

fase finale della lavorazione. Un gioco di luci e ombre sembra suggerire e rimanda ai continui movimenti

dell’acqua proposti e ricreati in forma stilizzata.

In-relief geometries are emphasized by a savvy use of glazes and dusts in the final stages of the manufacturing

process. Lights and shadows suggest the continuous movements of the water recreated in stylized shapes.

Restating the non conventional use of ceramic material and following the tridimensional language introduced by Lea Ceramiche in 2003, Goccia enriches environments that are not the traditional bathroom and kitchen to confirm the intrinsic value of the décor where every single item becomes part of a bigger something.

Ribadendo l’uso non convenzionale del materiale ceramico e seguendo il linguaggio tridimensionale introdotto da Lea Ceramiche nel 2003 con Progetto L14, Goccia impreziosisce spazi che non siano esclusivamente legati ai tradizionali ambienti di bagno e cucina per ribadire il valore intrinseco del decoro, in cui ogni singolo elemento può diventare tessera e parte di un tutt’uno.
