History Highlights: Founded in 1905 as Boiling Springs High School; became Boiling Springs Junior College in 1928; renamed Gardner-Webb College in 1942 in honor of Governor O. Max Gardner and his wife, Fay Webb Gardner; became a university in 1993; Gardner-Webb celebrated 100 years of educational service in 2005. Gardner-Webb’s graduate programs have over 4,000 alumni.

When the economy is down, it becomes more  viable to obtain a graduate degree in business since there are few jobs for undergraduate degrees.  The hope is that as one is completing their graduate degree, the economy may have peaked and thus the one with a graduate degree will see his or her value in the market almost doubled.

In addition, a graduate degree in business offers the opportunity to increase their economic value in the market and provide you the

necessary tools to differentiate you from others.

The Graduate School of Business faculty hold doctoral degrees from well-known universities around the world.  They have various business experiences and bring to the classroom a mixture of practical and theoretical training.  In addition, our small class sizes help to create an environment where student participation is routine.  I invite you to sample some of our course offerings and I trust you will agree with me that learning at the Gardner-Webb University Graduate School of Business can be a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience.
