    Goddess Lakshmi Slokas

    Goddess Lakshmi is the female counterpart of Lord Vishnu, the female energy of the SupremeBeing. She is the goddess of prosperity, wealth, purity, generosity, and the embodiment of

    beauty, grace and charm. Lakshmi is depicted as a beautiful woman of golden complexion, withfour hands, sitting or standing on a full-bloomed lotus and holding a lotus bud, which stands for

    beauty, purity and fertility. Her four hands represent the four ends of human life: dharma or

    righteousness, kama or desires, artha or wealth, and moksha or liberation from the cycle of birth

    and death.

    Meaning: Salutations to Goddess Adi Lakshmi, who is essentially the supreme Brahman. Please

    grant us wealth and prosperity and fulfill our wishes. O! Auspicious Goddess, you are the seat ofauspiciousness, you grant auspiciousness, you are auspiciousness personified. Grant us eternalhappiness and prosperity.

    Meaning: I salute the three-eyed Divine Mother Narayani, who brings auspiciousness and whofulfils all the desires of the devotee (both spiritual and material).

    Karamadhye Saraswathi Karamoolethu Govinda

    Prabhathey Karadarshanam. "

    Meaning: The front part of the hands (the finger tips) are ascribed to Goddess Lakshmi, theGoddess of wealth, the middle part (the palm proper) to Goddess Saraswati - the Goddess oflearning and the root (the part of hand near the wrist) to Govinda (God). Therefore, every

    morning, one should have a respectful look at one's hand which symbolizes honest labor.

    Meaning: Salutations to the terror of Lanka, Who is heroic the son of Anjana, Who brought to

    an end all sorrows of Sita, Who is the king of Monkeys, and Who killed Aksha, the son of

    Ravana

    Meaning: Salutations to you, O Mahalakshmi, who is all powerful, who is the seat of wealth,

    and who is worshipped by the devas and who has a conch, a disc and a mace in Her hands.

    "Namastulasi kalyaaNi namo vishhnupriye

    shubhe Namo moksha pradey devii namaH

    sampatpradaayinee "

    Meaning: I bow to auspicious Tulasi who is dear to Lord Vishnu, who brings good luck todevotees, who guides one to attain salvation, who showers all the wealth to the devotees.
