Our community determines

popularity of tracks and albums by

hearting (with some help from us).

We recommend

our favorite

music to our

users through

their personal

profiles.

We focus on cutting edge

and up-and-coming artists.

Kurt Vile outsells ADELE on gogoyoko. The mixture of albums from

a range of independent labels and artists who upload for themselves

gives the store more of a community feeling – like a local store that

might carry a local band’s self-released EP on the counter.

Our playlist feature takes our

music curation to the next level,

with underground music nerds

and indie artists submitting their

own playlists to the site.

We work closely with the labels

and distributors to feature priority

tracks in our playlists.

We also write articles around the

artists and albums on the site

ourselves, rather than taking the

same content as every other site.

It is important to us to have our

own voice.

Music Curation

Each label has its own storefront

on the site and as we import

catalogs we pick out our favorites

to write about and promote.

Our music management tools

allow any label to manage their

own storefront completely.

Labels can see up-to-date sales

information through the music

manager.

A label can feature artists, create

a label playlist, add a biography

and the users can browse

everything that the label makes

available.

Users of the site only see content

that is available in their territory.
