Old Dorm & Loder

ParkingThere are several options for parking on and around campus forthose students who plan to have a car or who will be commuting. For students living in campus apartments please see the housingforms for parking information near the apartments.

On campus, Northwestern University allows students to purchasepasses for the large lot next to our campus and they can bebought on a daily, yearly or quarterly basis.* To obtain a parkingpass for this and other NU visitor lots you will take your Garrett IDto the NU Parking Office at 1819 Hinman Ave (847-491-3319) between 8:00AM and 4:00PM.

Street parking in the neighborhood is always a possibility but isoften in short supply. There are a variety of parking lots inEvanston (e.g. the corner of Chicgo Ave & Church St. as well asMaple Ave.) which are a short walk away.

If you plan to arrive on campus after 4:30PM for classes you maypark in the NU lot to our south for free as the NU campus police stop monitoring the lot for parkingviolations after that point.

Parking is an acknowledged challenge in Evanston and on campus. However, with a little planning andforethought, it need not be an insurmountable problem. Just ask and we'll try to help!

*Northwestern has not yet released the prices for parking passes for the 2014-15 school year. Prices willbe forthcoming in a later email. Thank you for your patience.
