We are a successful, forward thinking, carbon zero company who produce high quality bags using natural plant fibres called Jute.

The bags are sustainable, ethical, reusable and biodegradable which sets these products apart from the ubiquitous plastic and paper bags that we still rely on too much.

Jute is a truly wonderful material, grown and cultivated in India using traditional methods to produce a fibre that is as hard wearing as it is versatile and provides a genine, cost-effective solution to the outdated, polluting and energy hungry production of plastic.

We offer a wide range of jute bags and packaging, you can choose either from our current stock or opt for a bespoke product, which our designers can help you to create.

GoJute operates a strict code of ethics throughout the whole production process, which we implement by personally visiting factories, ensuring that our suppliers are ISO 9001/9002 certificated and that they adhere to conditions of employment specified by us as well as our environmental protection guidelines.

Jute is a vegatable bast fibre plant.

The fibre is collected from bast or skin ofthe plant and spun into a coarse, strong thread. Linseed and hemp are two others.

Jute is very adaptable and can grow whereit’s salty, sandy or full of clay. It likes high temperature and humidity and particularly thrives in India and Bangladesh. The first recorded history of the use of jute as a textile fibre was in the 1500’s.

The plants grow up to 12 feet in height and are harvested and processed by hand, in India and Bangladesh 5 million jobs are linked to the Jute trade.

Jute is also known as Hessian or Burlap and has numerous advantages over other materials: primarily its adaptability, resilience and biodegrading qualities and the non-polluting processing methods that are required to produce the fabric.

Bags ordered from our factory in India can be printed EDGE-TO-EDGE due to fact the panels are printed before being sewn together.

Bags ordered from stock can only be printed to a certain maximum size. This depends on the type and size of bag chosen.

The main colour consideration comes if using Natural coloured Jute bags. We highly recommend stronger colours as they will show up far better on the light Jute colouring.

Text size should be no smaller than 28pt in order to be legible. Standard ‘Roman’ or ‘Regular’ text is also better and more legiable once printed on Jute. Italic and script typefaces, if small, and depending on where they sit on the weave can lose legiablity.

Artwork needs to be as high resolution as possible. Artwork of a lower resolution is prone to pixelate and is not possible to use.

We prefer 300DPI or above.

Due to the nature of the material, printing onto Jute is slightly different to printing onto other material.
