On Tuesday afternoon, March 22, 2011, Oleg Koltman was shocked to see a large group of people unexpectedly gathering about his desk.

Oleg learns he has been chosen to receive the Golden Star Employee of the Quarter Award for Winter 2011.

Oleg is rendered speechless and bows his head…

Oleg was described vividly by his colleagues as someone who strives for the best, is kind and gentle even in times of chaos, is highly ethical, dependable, and goes out of his way - sacrifices - for the needs of his coworkers. Faculty explained, “Oleg … exemplifies the spirit of what an excellent employee is.”

In addition to congratulations from the President, Oleg received from the STARS Chair Nancy Leverton and Chair-Elect John Gleason a framed certificate and a Barnes & Noble Bookstore gift card on behalf of the

STARS Committee.

Oleg expresses his surprise and thanks, and tells everyone how honored and happy he is to work at NSCC’s “MS3.”

Oleg was one of 14 outstanding employees nominated for the Golden Star Employee of the Quarter Awardduring Winter 2011 by their NSCC colleagues.
