The Leading Golf Club Zell am See - Kaprun is located at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn Mountain (3.202 metres) with its year-round snow-covered glaciers and embedded in the picturesque alpine world of the Hohe Tauern mountain range.

Die zwei gleichwertigen 18-Loch-Plätze „Kitzsteinhorn“ und „Schmittenhöhe“ bieten ein parkähnliches, flaches Gelände, viele natürliche Biotope, schilfum-randete Seen und abwechslungsreiche Spielbahnen in einer beeindruckenden Naturkulisse. Die ideale Lage im Talboden gewährleistet eine Bespielbarkeit von April bis November.

Die ersten 18-Loch des Platzes 1983, sowie die Erweiterung auf 27-Loch, schuf der englische Golfarchitekt Donald Harradine. Seit 1993 umfasst die Anlage 36-Loch und wurde 1998 Mitglied der „Leading Golf Courses Austria“. Interna-tionale Profis der Weltklasse wie Greg Norman, Bernhard Langer, Seve Balles-teros, John Daly, Laura Davis, Annika Sörenstam u.v.a. zeigten in Zell am See-

The two equivalent 18 hole championship courses are named after the two local mountains – “Schmittenhöhe” and “Kitzsteinhorn”. Both courses provide a park-like, fl at terrained experience with many natural habitats such as reed-bordered lakes and varied fairways.

The course was designed by the English golf architect Donald Harradine. The fi rst 18-holes of the course was built in 1983, the expansion to 27-holes in 1993. In 1998 the course became a member of the „Leading Golf Courses Austria“. Some of the world‘s top professional golfers such as Greg Norman, Bernhard Langer, Seve Ballesteros, John Daly, Laura Davis, Annika Sorenstam and many others already graced us with their presence and playing skills in Zell am See-Kaprun.

Three current youth national team players started their career at the David Shaw golf academy.

By plane: Salzburg Airport (known as “W.A. Mozart”) is easy to reach and roughly 80km away, while it is a journey of appro-ximately 200km to Munich Airport. A shuttle, taxi or train will take you straight to Zell am See-Kaprun.

By train: The Zell am See train station is located in the heart of the city. From there taxis or buses can take you straight to your hotel.
