Our objective: Restore and protect coastal wetland habitat, dunes systems and natural resources of the Lower Laguna Madre ecosystem
• Provide source of native plants for restoration1. Dune stabilization – Bitter panicum, sea oats2. Wetland restoration – Mangroves, chord grass
• Education on importance of plants for coastal ecosystems1. Welcome Center Displays – Sagassum to Sea Grass2. Native Plant Public Garden – 12 Plant Communities
• Initiatives to enhance native plant habitat via restoration 1. Native Plant Propagation via nursery & grow out facilities 2. Restoration Projects with County, City and other initiatives
