We are looking to raise awareness of premature babies in the Shenandoah Valley. Our deadline is November 17th and we know that is the last home football game of the season. Good afternoon Andrew, I spoke with you about 2 weeks back about doing a possible tent event for the JMU Senior Night football game. We have decided to forfeit that idea and go for a different one. We are doing an awareness table at the JMU Womens Basketball home opener next Thursday with Aramark (Angie donated 180 cookies for us to have available), just passing out cookies/pins/t-shirts. And I was wondering if you had some time later this week or early next week. We're trying to get the referees to wear the 39+ week pins, and put the t-shirts underneath the seats in the arena. Just a free giveaway. And perhaps if there is anyway we could put a message on the board at halftime for the March of Dimes, nothing out of the ordinary just an advertisement. So there was a last minute conflict with Sports Marketing that interfered with our basketball game campaign tonight. I was forwarded a series of emails by the directors about student based fundraising, it was miscommunicated that's all. I spoke with each one of them and Andrew Westhouse (Marketing director) and we worked out a last minute deal where our March of Dimes campaign teamed up with the Student Duke Club for a Pre-Senior Night pep rally Bon Fire, we set up our tent and received donations while passing out cookies, that Aramark was so kind to donate to us for our cause. It went off as a hit, football team came out, cheerleaders, and a few hundred people. Great turnout for us. On top of our donation/awareness stands we set up this week we also held a small event on campus today passed out a few flyers and gave a brief lecture on 39+ campaign to those interested in hearing. Just wanted to pass the memo on to you. I hope all is well. And please call me with any questions. I can drop off the donations anytime you like. I am leaving Sunday afternoon for fall break.
