Coheed and Cambria are an American band from New York that formed back in 1995. The band was originally called Shabutie, but changed its name when the drummer Nate Kelley left.

The band incorporates progressive, punk rock and heavy metal.

The albums of the band are concept albums that reveal a science fictional story of the Amory Wars. The Amory Wars was written by the lead singer Claudio Sanchez.( Wikipedia Coheed and Cambria)

Claudio Sanchez: Lead singer, guitarist and also wrote the science fictional story, The Amory Wars.

Travis Stever: Lead/rhythm guitarist of the band.

Michael Todd: He is the bassist of the band. He left the band in August of 2006 for personal reasons and joined back in April 2007.

Chris Pennie: He is the current drummer of the band

The Writer - Also referred to as The Writing Writer, he is the author of the story of Heaven's Fence. The problems in his own life cause him to become overwhelmed by the story—so much so that he longs for an ending to it. As his stress grows, he becomes delusional and he begins seeing visions of Ten Speed. At the end of Good Apollo, Volume One, he enters his own story and kills the Prise Ambellina, triggering Claudio the Character's transformation into the messianic Crowing.

Ten Speed of God's Blood & Burial - The manifestation of The Writer's ill will which takes the form of his 10-speed bicycle. Ten Speed convinces the Writer that he needs to kill off Ambellina in order to end the story, with the argument that if Ambellina is dead, Claudio will become the Crowing and destroy the Keywork.

Erica Court- The Writer's former lover, whose unfaithfulness causes him to spiral into madness and interfere with the story of Heaven's Fence. The Writer once asked Erica Court to marry him (The Suffering), and at some point in the relationship he turned hostile (Welcome Home). Erica is represented within the Writer's story in the guise of Newo Ikkin (the past, or the bad/evil side) as well as in Ambellina (the future, the good/pure side

Amory Wars is a story that takes place in Heaven's Fence, a collection of 78 planets held in place by interconnecting beams of energy, known as the Keywork. The story revolves around the messianic Claudio Kilgannon, son of Coheed Kilgannon and Cambria Kilgannon. Over the course of the story, Claudio assumes the mantle of The Crowing, foretold savior of Heaven's Fence. In the end, he has to face the "Supreme Tri-mage" Wilhelm Ryan, the absolute ruler of Heaven's Fence and the one ultimately responsible for the death of Claudio's family.

  Our album is the first disc of the fourth chapter of a

projected tetra logy. The album begins to resolve the issues of Claudio's quest to protect the Keywork, and sheds more light on the demise of Coheed and his wife Cambria. A graphic novel was released the same day as the album. This album is different because this is the only album out of the four part series that tells the story through the writer’s eyes.
